If they don't agree but they're willing to have a meaningful discussion then yes. But if they're just going to call names and hurl abuse without making a coherent point for you to debate then sometimes it's a useful tool.

Yes, if they are being abusive and unreasonable, thats different. I only block people that I would also report.

Nah? That's one of the reason block exists. Yeah, it is a little weasely to have someone say something offensive and not be able to respond to it, but this sites coding allows you to still talk with them anyway.

Yes, definitely! I would never block someone simply because I disagreed with their point-of-view, but I most certainly would block if they were being an asshole.
