Do you thinking blocking people just because they have different political opinions than you is a sign of strength or insecurity?

Some guy who posted about the new NYC mayor just blocked me because I did not agree with his opinion. I think it's a sign of insecurity. What do you think?

It is sign of strength. His political opinions are so correct, he does not need to demonstrate their justness in debate.

It's a sign of weakness and insecurity. Deep down inside he knows some of his political opinions may be flawed, but he just keeps suppressing doubts.

Ummm... I need to know what his political opinions are first! If they are like mine, it's strength. If they are different, it's weakness.

As you phrased it, it’s unseemly. But i’ve blocked a lot of people and been blocked by even more. So i know that it’s rare to be blocked just because you disagreed, especially if you did so respectfully.
I always block people who repeatedly post lies and misinformation and refuse to acknowledge facts or use empirical evidence to support their nonsense. I’m sure they tell themselves i blocked them because i was doing exactly what they did. I’ve been blocked just for sharing links to sources that succinctly debunk nonsense that is common here; without sharing my own thoughts and words on the subject. So it definitely happens, but more often than not people just attack the source or my character.
I do get trollish once the willfully ignorant demonstrate that they have no desire to do and be better. Sometimes almost forcing them to block me. It’s simply almost never, “Oh, they think differently from me. Therefore i will not tolerate their contributions at all.”

As for me sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I've blocked many right winged but some I haven't it really depends just on stuff. It's more will they be a persistent pain if anything but I don't know I don't think about it a lot.

Okay well asking such a question by your own metric of this idea to strength and insecurity could be seen as not a sign of strength but a insecurity it self, and thinking your better for not doing so. So it's ironic.

Using that logic, every question asked her on GAG "could be seen as not a sign of strength but an insecurity itself." I am only insecure insomuch as I am not sure if blocking others is a sign of strength or weakness. Yes, I don't have a secure opinion on that.

I only block people if I think they are rude.

I wouldn’t block a peeson for having a different opinion that mean as long as they were respectful.

I admit I have blocked some people in the how do I look section only because they kept posting over and over and I felt sick of seeing their face and their whining. These people would constantly ask questions like am I ugly.
