I'm a "Genetics Nazi." Especially when it comes to human stature.

I'm very allergic to what I think many call the victimhood mindset when one person, or even an entire group of people, are so hasty to point fingers at others -- or even society at large -- for their own failings.
And that's not to discount the legitimacy of their complaints. I think it's very valid and understandable if someone is a minority and struggles more than others, that someone had a bad childhood and therefore depressed, that someone had poor parenting and therefore engaging in self-destructive behavior, that someone had a traumatic experience and therefore overweight from seeing food as a coping mechanism for their trauma, that someone was bullied and therefore timid, etc.
But the reason I'm so resistant to this mindset to the point of something turning nazi against it out of impatience is not related to legitimacy. It's about what I think is a healthy frame of mind. The person with a strong case of victimhood mentality implies that they can only get better if other people around them change, not themselves. And I was born to really believe in this type of philosophy which is in stark contrast to victimhood:
I value sympathy though so I'm perfectly sympathetic to complaints at first, and I'm guilty of rambling and ranting about my own problems from time to time. I think sympathy is an important tool to feel connected to people. But at the end of the day, I think if someone wants to improve their lives, they can't rely on the world getting that much better in their lifetime. When the grievances become chronic and not temporary, I feel a strong urge sometimes to drop the sympathy and show a more ruthless side of me. I apply that even to myself if I find myself getting too deep in self-pitying and victim-like thoughts.
The worst thing about those people is they don't just belittle themselves, they boy who cried wolf the people who actually have real problems.
People get uncomfortable when I say most school shooters were actually just good people who got bullied, belittled, oppressed, tried to get help and got shit on for it.
But I really don't blame them. Nobody sits there and says "when I grow up I want to be the guy who shot up his school"
People are terrible to eachother, and it's the shitty me tooers who take what little help there is available and leave none for the people who really need it. They are usually the same people who treat others like garbage.
I blame them. Not the 12 year old who shot himself in the school bathroom with a 22 rifle and a backpack full of firecrackers and smoke bombs.
Victimization isn't a mindset. Honest truth is if you haven't already tried all you can to change the situation you aren't a victim. You are a selfish crybaby who wants a handout.
And society rewards that shit.
That's why people who actually need the help can't get it, and that's why we have so many people snap and just start shooting.
I don't blame those people. I blame the people who ruined their lives and sailed off with their paddles.
Punctuality and order in one's appearance, especially at work.
I'm often ill and in bad health, yet I do my best to take care of myself, have a clean and orderly appearance and be present on time at work - so why other people who are in good health shouldn't?
My father has reproached me about this, but I've threatened half-jokingly to club employees with my crutch or walking stick if they are late without a good motivation.
Being on time is important.
But I'd rather be ugly than perdjuice. If looking good is a priority for you, you better be in customer service or you're losing money.
@Lost_in_the_Woods one can look clean and orderly even with being ugly - I'm not a looker and I'm overweight, but I do my best to be clean and presentable. Being ugly is not an excuse to not shower.
Look, I admit there is a happy medium somewhere between my way and your way. 😂🤣😂
Clean is good. But matching socks are over rated.
Being on time. Having everything planned out. Small example. I love my close friends. I ask, wanna see a movie? Friend goes sure, which one. This one. What time? This time. Oki. Bam. Easy as that. On the day itself I will ask for another confirmation, I'll slip it in there somehow mid chat. I just really appreciate it when people are on time. I hate it when I'm invited somewhere and I have to wait for someone else to be ready resulting in us arriving later to an event.
Or my friends from highschool who are impossible to schedule something with cause they keep flaking on eachother. I don't deal with them anymore
Punctuality. I hate it when people are late, if I can make it on time then others can, too.

Buffering I hate it I wish it was required to send a Buffering electronic device into the sun and have the manufacturers give you a free one back that doesn’t buffer.
I know that’s never going to happen nor would I implement it into law my self it’s more like an extreme pet peeve of mine

I'm the opposite. I hate the people who killed everything nice and fun and rewarding like manual transmissions because they are too lazy and impatient to do anything other than press button and drink banana smoothie.
(Banana smoothie reference)

I hate that my computer is so fast that when I load Hydro Thunder it just says "HYDROCHOOSE YOUR TRACK!"
It doesn't even say thunder... 😓
But I loaded OSRS on 2g the other day and man... I haven't been that exited about anything for a long time. It was fantastic. I can't explain how that made it better but, it just did.
I still have a rotary phone and I'm pissed that I have to spend $100 to convert it into a battery powered Bluetooth headset before I can ever use it again.
(They killed pulse tones in like 2018, if you even have a landline)
TV used to be FREE.
People with skills used to get paid for them. . .
The Suzuki Dealer won't even work on my bike because they don't know how.
If I ever invent a time machine everyone will think I got kidnapped because I'll set it to 1965 and by 2015 I'll be 70 years old and ready to go back to the 70's.
Animal Nazi. When someone confuses a species of animal with another who is similar, I correct them and show them the differences
I take it you are a nature nut too? Having owned ferrets & polecats , the amount of clueless 2 legged muppets , that referred to them as rodents was unreal..." The only connection with rodents is that they KILL them ( mine did rats !! ) They are weasels , predators " was my response.
Yes, like that
@FatherJack oh, damn
I hate slow people i understand they're things i don't even know how to do but TOUGH cause it's a dog eat dog world so you need to get it together move faster and learn quick
My policy is if I spend 5 minutes politely blinking my lights, and we pass at least two places where they could have let me pass, I will turn my 17000 lumen high beam on and wait till they figure it out or crash off the road.
Nothing makes my day like the idiots who pull over, pull right back out behind me, speed up and put their highbeams on.
Like shit bro, if you could keep up we wouldn't have had a problem in the first place.
I give them a big 👌 and leave them in the dust. My ride is faster than a lot of actual Lamborghinis. There is zero chance those lights stay in my mirror. 🤣😂🤣😂
I know that isn't quite what you meant, but the point is we need to start taking a stand and start pushing the idiots aside.
We can't all slow down to the dumbest persons pace. That's why we have stopped advancing as a species and our society is crumbling into Idiocracy.
@Lost_in_the_Woods yup i hate slow people and i do road rage and flick people off on the road and true yup i only do this if someone is extremely slow or a horrible driver.
I love the bike because, most of the time I can just go around them and avoid the conflict altogether.
We need to find ways to do that when it comes to education and economics.
Injustice and hypocrisy. Okay and in all fairness I'm a bit of a grammar nazi too...
I have a problem with people who allow themselves to become obese.
Obesity is just as bad as being an alcoholic in my book. Your body is the only thing that you really truly own. If you mess it up you can't just go buy a new one.
I just hate obsessions and overly obsessed people. Its just so annoying and i try not to get obsessed to anything. Maybe i am anti-obsession nazi or some shit.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is a genetics Nazi? If I had to say... I would think that I am a cleaning Nazi.
Bad manners get me triggered
My Irish grandmother was HORRIFIED when she came to visit and saw her son in law and her grandkids CUTTING THEIR FOOD WITH THE SIDE OF A FORK LIKE BARBARIANS. 😱
I love her, but dam, she was smart not to say anything because she would have got absolutely torn up for that one.
You do you, but in America it's bad manors to tell other people how to talk and walk and eat.
@karaspara
No, I'm thinking of the Irish.

She's right. The Irish are still pretty Catholic.
Yeah, they have some angry drunken bar fights but, what county doesn't?
The difference is the Irish can be back in the same bar drinking with the same guy the next day and it's more or less forgiven.
They love their beer, and can be hot tempered, but you don't see the sort of shooting and killing and rioting you see in the states.
You do see a lot of people who go to Catholic mass multiple times a week.
It's not quite like people think. They are much better mannered than we are.
I don't see that as a good thing myself.
On this site? Girls who ask question about how they look, but then delete the picture. 🙄
I suppose the CLEAN UP YOUR MESS nazi.
I'm just an actual regular Nazi
I'm a grammar Nazi.
A nazi of normal
