Like Wakanda?
So much money and they just hid from the world and didn't help anyone.
That movie was a raging success.
Why?
Like people don't care about others.
They have theirs and screw everyone else.
I've been supporting kids from around the world for longer than you've been alive. I've been able to visit a couple times. I met the kids and their families. I can't speak for all the charity organizations but there are some that are legitimate and effective.
I've fed the homeless in the soup kitchens, packed sack lunches, fed people on the street.
Some people need help.
Some people are beyond help.
Some people would rather stay homeless than make the necessary changes needed to move up again.
Help who you can.
Avoid those that might cause you harm.
I lumped homeless into this when you started with kids in Africa.
It's our own government that's the problem.
We send billions and billions in foreign aid with no strings attached. No accountability. So the corrupt African governments take the money and screw their own people over. If you can't stop the corruption of the local government the kids are never going to see the food.
It's a big world for an 18 boy to get self-righteous and judgey about things of which you are woefully ignorant. If that's where your heart is I applaud you. Awesome!
Now go get a job and give your own money away. Don't go preaching to others about enjoying life when their taxes pay for so much already.
Your hearts in the right place, you're just ignorant as fuck.

Yes. Fills me with joy.
Why are you using us as a guilt trip. Everyone thinks Africa is poor and we live in huts. These donations rarely go to the communities in need anyways
I'm too poor to make big purchases.

The biggest purchases I've made have been for things I really need. A bed, medical supplies, etc. And to be honest, no I don't think about what else that money could go to or who it could help. It's exhausting to be constantly aware of the bad shit in the world and to feel helpless to make a difference. It kills your compassion (that's an actual thing, compassion fatigue). When I can help someone I do, but I'm not going to feel guilty for not trying to take on all the injustices of the world on the (extremely rare) occassions I have some unexpected money. I'm just one dude living on $830 a month, what good is me feeling guilty about people in worse conditions going to do? Right now I need to focus on me. If I ever come into money you can be sure a lit of it will go to charity though
I voted E. To me world hunger is one of those issues that humanity should have solved many generations ago. We gave had the resources and means to do so for many years. Yet like my issues it remains unsolved. Because humanity too busy fighting and killing itself to solve it. So thinking of children starving in Africa only reminds me of how humanities greats enemy is itself.
Not really.

A huge portion of the food produced on a global scale goes to waste. We have resources to feed the world with no problem. The real problem is one of distribution and political fighting. Not everyone in Africa is poor. That's just a false assumption. And to be honest, I do not. I cannot donate money to charity because I do not have much money and I rarely make a big purchase. If I was rich, then that is a different story. I would donate then.
Nope, I buy the biggest screen TV and a pickup truck with a big V-8. I worked my ass off to get my career off the ground. I will not feel guilty about it.
Africa has many prosperous towns and cities, we shouldn't view it as a land of spear chuckers living in mud huts. Sure it's bad for these kids but perhaps the rest of Africa should be sorting it out.
Feed for how long? The world has pumped money into many African nations for many decades and yet there they are, still starving anyway.
Honestly, it doesn't cross my mind. Whoever is in charge of that particular country has already stolen more money than I'll ever see in my life. Good for him, but not my problem.
What's the point of living in a wealthy nation, and working for a living, if I can't enjoy it?
If I just gave everything to Africa, then I would be no better off than them, and nobody's going to give me money. No because there was nothing you could do aside from your few bucks a month donation to relevant charities.
It's not your job to help the world, only to put your share into those that can.My variation: I don't make big purchases myself.
About Africa - pity the individual; but as a whole: they don't get things right -or done- that's not because of my own doings. I plead: not guilty.Could of fed? Donβt you mean could have fed? When I buy something I buy it because I either need or want it. I donβt think about anything else.
literally with all the "donations" everyone across the world has given Africa by now, you'd think they'd be a 1st world country already. BUT these companies who claim to help with the money you donate, it rarely ever gets to them!!! its a sham!!
I dont get to that point. What I always think is, could there be a point when this money might be just want I need to feed my family on a bad day.
The next time I make a big purchase, I'll let you know. 😂
I think about this all the time. I contribute monthly to a lot of charities, but still feel guilty.
How about all the hungry kids and homeless people in the city where I live.
Other countries have been helping to feed Africa for generations and it just led to more kids
I think about the me I could feed.
forcing blame on others? this in itself is bad
