Are you the messy one or the tidy one?

In my experience, no stereotype suits the old saying “opposites attract” like the cleanliness odd couple. Most couples i know, one is clearly naturally tidier and more organized than the other. I have never met two neat freaks who coupled, and i have a fairly solid theory as to why. I only know one couple in which both are complete slobs, but i know it didn’t start out that way. Trying to keep up with cleaning after the slob simply wore the tidier partner down, and now nobody ever cleans. It’s gross.
So, are you the messy one or the tidy one in your relationship?

In my experience, what I am has to be compared with who am I with, since the spectrum is quite wide. Also as others pointed out, some people are on the cleanliness side but they like clutter, which makes it clean but messy...

On the spectrum, almost all girls have been more cleanliness oriented than me, that verifies one gender stereotype. Among them, some have been messier than me though.

I really don't like clutter, I like minimal decor that is simple to organize, and clean. In this decade I'm meeting girls more or less on par with how I see things. One of them has been exactly like me, in terms of organization and cleanliness, that was a bliss.

When there isn't any need to adapt to the other, things get really more relaxing, but I know it's rare so I don't really count on this similarity in general, I just enjoy when it happens

Well, I was always the tidy one I guess and since I’m by myself, and I don’t wanna live in a mess I try to keep things organized and clean

I’m messy… in my own ways.. but clean.

hubby is clean in his own ways and a little messy…
so we work well together.

then our cleaning ladies do the rest. 😂

I’m kinda both. I’ll let it get messy the clean it all up but then gradually let it get messy again. 🥺
