Immolation is an implacable foe...
there are 'rules' to fighting fire but... RARELY are ALL the variables KNOWN to the human combatant.
Heat+ fuel + oxygen... all 3 MUST be present, but... interrupting that 'chain' of rapid oxygenation
is not always 'easy'.
From explosion to mere 'rust' are ALL part of the 'fire' continuum.

I feel like anyone who claims they're not afraid of something is foolish. Especially when it involves fire.
You *should* be at least a little wary of it... because if you're not, you're likely going to make certain mistakes that you probably shouldn't be making.
If there was an unstoppable fire I had to escape from, especially like those big fires in Australia, I would be pretty scared.
And I respect the damage it can do and that you shouldn't play with it.
But I'm not scared when I see candlelight or sit near a bonfire.
I have a healthy respect for fire, if it stays where it belongs I’m not afraid.. if it’s in the corner of my bedroom eating my curtains 🤔 I’m afraid.

Depends. One needs a healthy fear of fire. I was guilty of holding a homemade lit camp candle while another camper sprayed bug spray on it (12 year olds sometimes lack judgement). We were presented with the fire department and a Rescue 911 episode the next day.
Yes, my late neighbor's garage caught fire and the criminals used gasoline and there was also a stolen motorcycle underneath insolation and all of that caught fire the garage burnt to the extent there was no roof and our shed and the other neighbor's roof on their garage got a little burnt.
Yes I am! I don't even like matches or being too close to fireworks. I would only watch fireworks from a distance, not set them off myself or be with someone who was setting them off.
Not likely that my home will burn as it's an all electric building and there are smoke detectors and the residents are responsible people. I would worry about forest fires if I lived in the mountains.
No, I've been a firefighter/emt for 38 years.
I have a health respect for it, but I do not fear it.
My training, the brothers and sisters I am with and the equipment we have we made damn sure everyone goes home and we stay undefeated. If you love something. . . set it on fire.
https://youtu.be/B7K1kpbr3fsDuh fire burns and causes skin burns. No thanks. All these tough people voting no but honestly I voted yes and hell yeah I fear fire. Lighting oven stoves or matches are risky too.
Nah. Campfires and candles don't scare me. Obviously you don't touch it and you're fine. 😂 But I would be scared of a fire that's out of control.
The moment you don't respect fire is the last moment you will spend on this earth. As an interior firefighter, I don't FEAR fire but I sure as hell respect what it can do, both to buildings and human beings.
Yeah for some reason I’ve always been afraid of getting anywhere close to it. I’ve had friends that like to play with it and it always freaked me out.
It depends on what I’m facing. For example if I was in a big forest fire then I will be terrified but if I was sitting in front of a fireplace fire I wouldn’t be scared.
Between ages of 11-13, I was absolutely TERRIFIED! Not as much now.
Not scared, but I respect it. I treat it with care. I really really don't want to burn my or someone's place down.
Nope, I like watching it though in a fireplace, it licking the air, the shapes you see in the flames, fire is just interesting and intriguing.
No, it looks really pretty. I’m in, y scared of the getting burnt part
I've always liked to play with fire
https://youtu.be/yzVQkO92wNwI’m not afraid of fire per se, but if it is out of control, he’ll yes!
I respect and admire fire but I'm not afraid of it.
No but I have a healthy respect for it as it relates to my well being and environment.
I've committed so much arson in my youth... so much
