Is your glass half full or half empty?

I'm a glass half full kind of guy. I don't allow myself to wallow in fear or misery.
If something in my life is making me miserable, I either fix it or my attitude.
I've known "whoa is me" people. All they do is complain as if the world has a conspiracy against them. I also see many SJW-types who seem to revel in being outraged all the time. While I am passionate about justice and making the world a better place, I don't have a miserable attitude. I find things to be grateful for. One thing is mere awe and gratitude for the wonders of creation. I feel lucky to have witnessed all the things I have, and to continue to witness the wonders of life.
"you're lying. You're just telling me there's water in there so I'll feel good about myself. You think I'm a failure and that I'm stupid so I'll never be able to tell whether or not there is water. I'm sick of all of you lying to me and hurting my feelings." I of course, never say this out loud.
I'd take a gulp and immediately start crying
Neither! Totally empty!

Half full. My general outlook is that no matter what happens, it's an opportunity to be stronger, more resourceful, more patient, simpler, more... of good traits. Just gotta see it.
It COULD ALWAYS be better... but,
counting mah blessings, I ONLY have 'wants', not 'needs'... at just turning 70.
My Adversaries FEAR me and my friends... and elective 'family' celebrate me.
And... THAT, in these times,
counts as a nominal 'Win'~
The glass is at 50% capacity. Whether it's half full or half empty depends on the trajectory. If it started empty and someone then added 50% liquid, it is half full. If it started full and someone removed half, it is half empty.
And yes, that is my outlook on life.
Probably over half full.
I'm doing very well financially, and my wages have only gone up over the course of the pandemic, all expectations of physically going in to work are gone so I'm much freer to do whatever I want as long as I get my work done.
I'm also in a relationship with a very nice girl and the prospects seem good.
I don't have any drama or tension generally either, so I'd say my personal life is pretty good.
Technically every glass is always completely full. Half water & Half Air. Both Elements Equally Real. GL
Half water half air?
That's no fun!! Might as well be empty! Open the gin bottle! That's full. For a short time.
Make mine Tequila π₯π₯
It's correct to say that a glass that is half full is also half empty. That's the view a realist would have, and that's what I am. Optimists and pessimists only ever have an incomplete appreciation of the situation.
@jennifer_Hanmabloom Piss off hanma!
I'm a "don't even bother drinking the water and smash the glass on the floor" kind of person because I don't deserve half-assed things.
... I'm working on improving my "All or Nothing" mentality.
I had 2 months last year where I was a cup half full person and life felt amazing. Unfortunately things went back to normal after that. I would say I'm more of a 'why is there even cup at all and how do I still have this much water left' type of person
I try to be a half full person, but my brain unfortunately tends to gravitate towards half empty if I don't watch it. I've always struggled with focusing more on the negative than the positive, and it's a VERY hard thing to catch and change.
@Rachel794 I mean, it's good that I don't get my hopes up as much, but I also make mountains out of molehills sometimes and see minor bad things as a much bigger deal than they are, and forget to appreciate the good things (and take them for granted).
it is more than full.
I am in a nice house. I have a nice family. I have food to eat and clothes to wear. I should be happy but some times just lonely.
all i care to know is what's in it and if it's mine or not.
ewww xD gin and tequila? that's my personal show stopper. as soon as i throw one of these in the mix, there's a 100% chance of me puking my brains out that evening. i'll take the whiskey tho :D
cheers bud. what's you'r drink of choice and what makes you puke? :D
yeah man. if you're gonna get wasted, why not do so in style? :D
Whatever I feel like on the day
Sometimes life is awesome
Other times i say fuck you world, life can suck my tits
Is this being greedy?
You people need to brush up on your movie knowledge! "There is no glass", as Neo would say!
:-P :-P :-P
I have 50% too much glass.
Also... technically, my glass is completely full. Half with liquid and half with air. I enjoy both.
people in my life make it half-full... that's my outlook on this life, the other people I have by my side
The glass is full. Any space not taken up by a liquid is always taken up by air. So even if the cup has no liquid in it, the cup is full.
Depends if the glass is being emptied or filled. I think I'm generally an optimist.
It's full until I finish drinking, then it's empty. Since I drink several glasses of water every day, teh glass is often full, and often empty.
well i never leave a job half finished if a reward is around the corner... like a good buzz? Down that bitch and have another!
The cup is really always full, part/all fluid plus part/all air. but I digress
My cup starts out full, but every day, I think someone keeps pouring it out!
It's half a glass of water either way. I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle... just like the glass.
I'm a "Six of one" or a "half dozen of the other'. type.
Definitely half full! I do my share of complaining, but my glass is really 2/3 full.
If at the halfway mark, then it would be both. Some things are going as I want. Others are not.
Completely full is prefered.
My general outlook is usually positive/optimistic but in a realistic manner.
I value everything I have, but Inadmit to myself I won't be happy unless I have everything else I want.
I'm a perfectionist (an all or nothing person who rejects the idea of nothing as an option, a person who says, I want what I want, and I will not stop until I get all of it - regardlesss of how many set-backs I have)
but I admit*
I am pretty much a "glass is half full" kind of guy.
Iβm leaning towards neither because the glass is always full.
Half full.
Especially the way I'm upbeat and usually upbeat.
That's 100 milliliters of liquid right here. In US ounces it would be 3.4 oz. Conveniently occupies 50% of capacity of most cups, glasses and mugs. The real question is: What is the liquid itself?
i don't believe in this nonsense.
It barely contains anything, since both the water and air molecules contain mostly empty space. We are in a constant state of illusion about the things around us that are really just a void.
I see it to be ''in operation''. Which basically is a positive kind of view.
If the glass is empty, and you are filling it,
It's half-full.
If the glass is full, and you are emptying it out,
It's half-empty.
I can be one or the other, but it depends on the matter.
Half a glass 😜
That test are rarely accurate.
It's completely empty and I just start filling it🔥βοΈ
What glass?
i drink from the bottle.
I'm a "the glass contains approximately 50% of its maximum volume " kinda guy
Have I drunk from this glass or have I poured into it?
As we speak it's half full. Because life is short and you're a long time dead.
Empty, life is miserable and always has been
That smacks of all-or-nothing thinking, plus catastrophization.
Ah sorry @Rachel794 surly there are always some small pleasures that can be found in life, even if it's just a walk in nature or a chat with a friend π
Is it a Morito or a Soda?
Both. But if I was describing my cup to someone I'd say it's half empty before. i say it's half full
Lol..
I have no hope. All empty.
My glass is full empty.
Half full.
But it definitely feels half empty
Both, but I'm very nihilistic and depressed.
It's always full 50% water 50% air!
Bit of both, actually.
Always been half full. Itβs who I am.
I'm an eternal optimist
The glass is full of poison.
.
I don't even know where I put my glass
I would say it is half full.
It's half full of course.
Half full... I'm really trying to stay positive.
Half full. I am a little too optimistic.
I don't know. It's somewhere in the middle.
half full I do my share my drinks
3/4 full. Or at least 2/3s
Half empty most definatly. I always want more.
