When is too soon?

I've been talking to guy for 6 months now. We met on the Facebook dating app and starting talking via snap. We snap every day. He is deployed right now until the end of April. Would it weird for me to add him on Facebook? We aren't officially dating since he got deployed a few months after we started talking. We hung out every weekend before he left. I have found him on Facebook but don't know if I should add him. He can't "find" me on Facebook if he tried since my Facebook is set to private (such as you need my number or email) due to what I do for a living. Would it be weird to add him on Facebook?

or just keep communicating the way you do so but
I can't see why it would be too soon to add him on FB?

Maybe asking if it was too soon was not the right way to put it. Does it make me look weird/stalker-ish since I looked him up on Facebook. I just don't want to ruin what we have by adding him and he thinking it's creepy.
