I watch YouTube or read an ebook - which is supposed to be a bad habit for those who want to fall sleep, but it’s ok. I often read, whether it’s an ebook or a regular book, and this is one of the things that I feel like I need to do before sleeping - to wind down properly.
I WAS trying classical music, sometimes pop music (seemed too energetic - even the classical music), and sometimes an audiobook, if I liked the speakers voice and it was calming enough.
If I still can’t nod off, and I feel like I need to catch some zzzzzz’s, I will sometimes take a shower. Warm water, plus thinking things through will help. It only works sometimes, but it’s something.

I listen to asmr or try my hardest not to move at all. If those don't work and it's been some hours, then I'll just go ahead and get up or start using my phone. Sometimes if I wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep, I can just stay awake for a few more hours and then try again. It usually works well when I try it.

Sleeping meditation is good maybe try that dont ever get sleeping pills its mostly valium they give you and its a bad addiction if you take them to much try sleeping meditation i have a bad sleeping habit my sleeps are all over the place i can stay up all through the night and day then sleep till about five the next day or i get good sleeps or i sleep nd get up sleep nd get up my sleeping pattern is all over the place but try sleeping meditation it works good when its good for you its worked for me a good few times

I know the secret... When you can't sleep... try to stay awake. Tell yourself that. "I'm going to read this book, and try to stay awake"

I listen to rain, thunder and lightning (try "Epic Thunderstorm" on Youtube) on a laptop and its bound to help you fall asleep. Drinking a glass of warm milk helps. Keep the room very dark, cool, with no electronics. No coffee/tea or eating at least 6 hrs before bedtime. Sometimes reading a book helps as well to get you sleepy.
I love rain/thunder sounds. They take awhile to put me out tho lol. And I don't like milk.
I did drink a nice chamomile tea the other day. While it relaxed me, I didn't feel sleepy. But I'm gonna look into some melatonin
I listen songs. I don't feel sleepy till 2 am usually. I use that time by completing my writing hobby. I write songs, poems or work on my novel that time. When I start yawning then I stop and turn on soft music to sleep. Other is chatting with one of the gagger till I feel sleepy. But listening songs before sleeping is a must for a smooth wake up. Otherwise I feel frustrated when I wake up.

I rarely write it in my notebook at night especially in this cold winter when I don't want to get out of my blanket lol. I type my songs in WPS office and write it in my poem notebook in morning or when I'm free later. The chapters of my novel stays in my 'Notes' application in phone only.

many many years ago... I gave up on sleeping, nowadays I go to to bed and rest
trying to get to sleep made me quite restless, so I just stopped trying to sleep and I just focus on actual rest, I relax, I get comfortable... and reduce my activity to the very less possible, my mind will will always wander for an hour or two but eventually I fall asleep

That depends on why I can't sleep. If I have work to do, I'll just sleep the next night. If it's just insomnia, I'll either try and get laid or drink a few fingers of Whiskey or rum. If it was because of a nightmare, I'll probably sleep the next night if i can.

I read. Though I enjoy it. Reading curled up in bed it's curtains, lol. So much focus is needed it helps stop my racing thoughts when weed doesn't. For the nights I can't get confertable I take a candlelight bath. Recommend a bath pillow even if you don't sleep in the tub it's magical.

I used to be an insomniac. Then we had kids. I slept even less because I had to get up and check on them every night. Life finally caught up to me. Now my head barely hits the pillow and I’m out. I still stay up late but I don’t struggle to go to sleep like I used to. I used to read to get sleepy. Haven’t had to do that in some time.

I also try the night time playlist. But when all else fails, I sometimes just get up, go to the bathroom (even if I don't really have to go), and get back in bed. I think it helps to physically reset. Usually, I'll fall asleep very quickly after that.

Watching tv, eating and computer for me makes it harder to sleep.
Here is what helps me sleep: Reading, talking on the phone to people with opposite time zones, exercise, shower, sauna, gym, hot tub, swimming, house cleaning, and laundry help me get to sleep.
Usually put on some white noise (rain or snow falling, fan... anything soft and relaxing) or soft jazz- that usually does the trick for me. Worse case, I aimlessly surf the net on my phone until my eyes get heavy and I fall back to sleep again.
Yeah I can't sleep without a fan on lol.
Right? It doesn't help it's still warm as heck down here. Been running my a/c and fan nonstop for the last few weeks :|

Stop wasting my time and stop trying to do something I can't achieve (sleep)... I make use of my time by getting up and doing something until I actually feel tired.. the reason you're not tired is cos your body has had enough sleep and you don't need any more... So even if it's late at night. Sometimes you jus have to wait a little more for your body to become tired
I've never actually had the misfortune of trying to fall asleep, I always jus let tiredness come to me instead of forcing it, trust me when you did this it's a lot better cos your not waiting around for hours trying to sleep... You don't wait around at all.. all your time awake is spent well

In all honesty I'll typically fall asleep if I have something playing in the background, or sometimes I'll try to clear my mind and picture what it is that I want to dream about until I fall asleep and start dreaming about it.
