Is driving scary or hard?

I'm supposed to learn this year for the first time. Im nervous.

It's okay if you're nervous that's a good way to be sometimes because that means that you are paying attention to everything around you and that's what you have to do but if you really want to learn how to drive find somebody with the four-wheel drive truck or a good car take it out onto some dirt give it some gas and learn how to slide it learn how to correct it learn how to turn your tires into a slide to get out of that way you can get the feel of a car and what it might do if you're in a predicament because that's what you're scared of not being able to react in time you don't know what it's going to feel like that's what you're scared of you need to experience something to understand it right that's with everything in life did I suggest go get sideways some place don't take a look in somebody's car but it's okay to be nervous just pay attention it'll all come second hand to you and that's when you start getting cocky but that's when something stupid usually happens to so
You know the rules don't drive talking on the phone because that does take away your attention span like right now instantly in the blink of an eye and that's all it takes if you drop a cookie dough been down to pick it up wait until you get home or you pull over and do it but before you go take your driver's test try to get as much experience as you can in the car like I said you have to experience something to understand it

There are really two separate components to driving.
The first is physically driving the car - using the pedals and other controls, and performing manoeuvres like parallel parking etc. That's the easy part (although admittedly some people do make it look hard), especially since I'm guessing you're in the US and learning in an automatic.

The second part is navigating the sometimes complicated road systems, and anticipating the actions of other road-users. How difficult that is, depends largely on where you live. Driving in rural areas with relatively straightforward road systems and little traffic, is generally easier than driving in busy urban areas with complicated junctions - but then driving in very rural areas, with narrow country lanes, requires a level of spatial awareness and reversing skills that 90% of town drivers simply do not possess (because they never needed to).

And I don't know that it should be scary, but it doesn't hurt to have a healthy respect for both the risk to yourself, and the risk of you harming someone else - you are after all, driving around at 60mph in a 1.5 ton metal box, surrounded by others doing likewise.

i've practiced driving a car when i was 12. it shouldn't be too scary i don't think as long as you're driving in a safe and good place with a good instructor.

Only at first- and that fear is a good sign; it shows you're taking it seriously. You're taking control of a metal box and powering it up to move at speeds faster than humans were ever designed to by means of exploding processed dinosaur corpses. That really SHOULD be taken seriously (it should also, by that description, be on the cover of a heavy metal album, but that's another issue).

Fortunately, the cars themselves, as well as the system by which they're operated, are geared around safety, and if you follow the rules and stay calm and patient, you'll do just fine. The big thing is practice: keep it up, and you'll gradually grow more confident.

I started driving buses right after passing my car test, and I've also got a motorcycle license. If you're unfamiliar with the controls it can be a little scary at first, but it's not overly difficult. Learn the basic controls beforehand, learn the rules of the road, then get out there and keep calm. You'll do fine.

If you've never been behind the wheel before, it'll take you a short while to get a feel for the controls (accelerator, brake, steering) and become comfortable with them. You treat them with subtlety, not strength. Do not slam on the accelerator or brakes.

Don't be frightened. Be relaxed but aware and cautious.

Once you get the feel for it, driving isn't hard.

Start out driving in snow and you'll do great. Kidding, it is scary at first but you get use to it. Just follow the laws and you'll be fine.

It's neither scary nor hard. Get a good instructor to guide you through the driving experience. The key thing to remember is to always concentrate on driving when you're behind the wheel... avoid distractions.
