Are you satisfied with the country you live in?

I haven't felt patriotic in a long while, if ever. I see the wealth inequality I see both regionally and nationally. I know poor people who have the skills and drive to have a higher social status, but because their careers weren't handed down to them they will never not struggle. Rich people don't have to worry when gas increases by more than 80 cents, to take on an additional job to pay rent and having to dip into a savings account.
More than this, the image of the US as powerful and in western ideals successful is undoubtedly true. But what does power or western mode of success mean when nationally, you don't care about your own people? Everyone like me and the people I know- the working poor- are underlings. We don't have value. The government couldn't care if we lived or died. So why is it my duty to express approval for those oft-corrupt people up top? I think they should care but they have the experience-taking abilities of a jellyfish. I won't take advice or suggestions from a corporation that doesn't have my best interests in mind and I don't think anyone should.
uhh i m confused
Yes and no. Overall I'm very satisfied & glad that my mother migrated us to Denmark.
The welfare system and the social programs - do help a fare share of individuals but that the government keeps on cutting down those programs, more and more individuals are falling through the cracks. It isn't easy being a marginalized indivual with low ressources because they don't know how to handle the system that is supposed to help them.
Education here is not completly a $$ privilege, if you've the ressources or find the ressources to get through schooling - education is tax funded and while undergoing most further education programs/degrees - you'll get a small amount of money to get by for.
We've unions fighting for workers rights: minimum 5 weeks of paid vacation a year, upto 32 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave.
No, we lost the purpose of having several states and individual governments for said states. People continue to refuse the worst problem in the country effecting small towns. Gentrification. Instead of improving their own states, we're getting people from Cali flooding states and fucking up rental prices, driving the lower income folks already there out because hey, the landlord can just change it when more affluent people come in to bumsville, Arkansas. This is singlehandedly ruining so many of lower to middle class and since your average American has zero interest in Urban Planning, its put behind agendas and nonsense. I love my country and towns, but I HATE forcing everything to be New York and California. Its making cities look like shit and expensive beyond the populations means.
I increasingly dislike the US, but I’m stuck with it. I like my locale even though it is getting poorer and has crime and has poorly educated people (like most of the US outside a few cities), but hate the elites who run it with a passion. Codified discrimination against people like me, the elite suck up all the wealth and leave crumbs and a declining standard of living for everyone else, and inflict the most stupid media and propaganda on the people to keep them divided and at each others throats. It’s an empire falling apart with a divided population with little in common to hold it together and, for someone who knows history well, feels like sitting on a powder keg.

I love living in London because I’m so used to it. I’ve lived here all my life. I also love how diverse it is. But the weather is absolutely horrible most of the time, the services are going downhill while the costs of living are skyrocketing, and it’s generally just not a clean place compared to the rest of Europe. So it’s a bit of a I love it here, this is my home, but the world is so beautiful and I can’t imagine how nice it would be to live somewhere else. I’m really constantly debating whether I should move to a different tropical country even if it’s like for a year.
I am satisfied but it makes me a target of racists. I have all the facilities I need in my country and the side of my country shown by Western media is an exaggeration. I have lived in different beautiful cities and it has been a great experience so far.
I love the culture so much and the people are nice and simple.
For those who talk about open defaecation, go ahead and explore the slums that even most Indians wouldn't visit. I am sure you have the ugly parts and poverty in your cities as well.
I lived in Germany for several years now, but I am from Denmark. Love this part of the world; rich, globalised, democratic countries with good welfare systems, little corruption, safe to walk around alone, nice climate (love the seasons and long days in the Summer!), and lots of varied and old cultural life all around in Europe to visit on shorter trips. If I'd ever live somewhere else than Northern Europe it would only be for a shorter period for a specific job.
And I love being a part of the EU. Easy to travel most places in the world, and I consider moving to another EU country soon, which would not be a big hazzle. Was no problem making my first move at least.
I have never went abroad so I can't compare my country with other country. However I'm satisfied with the fact that I stay in East India rather than West India. East India is more better (it isn't as developed as west though) and calm with less politics controversy.
My country has affordable food and shelter and safe streets so it’s good unless you require medical treatment or police services, their public employees are often corrupt but they have cheap busing and transportation and church and libraries are free and people are kind.
I'm from the UK and our government over the last decade has helped make us the laughing stock of Europe, with Brexit, our handling of the Pandemic and our ever spiralling cost of living crisis it's an absolute shambles.
No. I want to live in Brazil but in the rich neighborhoods of Brazil 😞.
The celebrations in the United States are too boring and too stale.
Everyone in the U. S is money obsessed and cares about only sex.
I want out of here! .. if I had money for it….
India is my birth place. I am proud of my country as well as satisfied in my country.
But may change later. About the satisfaction.
I will always be proud of my country.
I'm not completely dissatisfied with America but there definitely is room for improvement. I do like where I live though. My town and neighborhood are safe for the most part.
nope
1. have a clown as a president
2. assaults, disappearances and feminicides everyday
3. You gain less money than what you would win in others
4. A lot of people hate animals
5. people in general
Yes it's certainly one of the best lands to live in, that doesn't mean we can't improve it or have it ruined in the wrong hands.
I love my country more than any other countries in the world, however I would improve many things here.
i basically switch between living in the us (my parents are immigrants here) and france (where my family is from). i prefer the us out of the two and despite all the crap that is happening in the world, it's a pretty decent country.
damnn, i didn't realize how many people hated the us. i mean, it's really not THT bad.
@Alyssa_11 oh no, definitely not. i was implying that there are more things for someone such as me to do here.
Hardly but I’m comfortable and prefer to stay that way
Not at all. But I am sort of trapped. Can't explain more.
Aww 😧
It depends on what you mean by satisfied. I think it's a decent country better than some and worse than some. Are there things that I would change if I could? Sure.
I live in the USA and I'm not satisfied. Our education, medical, and transportation systems are deplorable. And there's really no excuse for it other than greed.
I think I'll be more satisfied when covid restrictions lighten up.
South Korea is beautiful and interesting.
I'm not dissatisfied, but I'm definitely looking forward to returning to the states.
It ain't terrible but there is a lot of room for improvement.
I love America. We are in a slump right now but I still believe our best days are ahead.
American and not very satisfied are politicians are cucks to the rich
Not right now. Crime, COVID 19, the threat of increases in the price of fuel because of the Russia/Ukraine situation: frankly, I'm disappointed.
I'm satisfied with where I live but if I had a choice, I'd live near the water in Scotland.
I love America, just not the clown sitting in the White House.🤡
I live in Australia, and no, I'm not satisfied with it at all.
I am very satisfied with my country, but I am not satisfied with some people that live here
It’s a good country. I like the women more of other countries
I'm satisfied in the sense that it is the greatest country on earth. But I am NOT satisfied with where we are at. We can ALWAYS do better.
It did came with satisfaction guaranteed tag though.
Thanks for like!
No.
Corruption everywhere.
Pervert men.
NOT AT ALL SAFE for women.
And it's India !
Depends on state.
Well i am too Unsatisfied.
I’m satisfied with the country but I hate the government.
I'm doing well. That's why I can say I'm satisfied. I'd be more than satisfied if the foolish Democrats aren't in power.
After watching a documentary about North Korea nobody can complain
I'm happy in my country just better destroy the useless men in you
I am ok with it no country is perfect can do a lot worse in other countries
Germany is working out well for me. 🤔👍
Overall yes it's a great country to live in
Definitely. I want to know more about my country.
I’m dissatisfied. I live in the US
nope, mainly because of the jackass edu system
I'm not even satisfied with the world I live on.
From Luxembourg. Yea couldn't be better
I love my country and Semper Fi 🇺🇸
The US. I mostly hate it.
Yes I am but not with Joe Biden
Absolument, in the USA!
South Korea is okay.
I wanna move from here. I'm dissatisfied
Where are you
Bulgaria
Nope and it gets worse everyday
No, no one is.
Overall yes.
Nope
NO.
I am in India and i'd rather live in USA
They hate Indians. I'd rather live somewhere I'm respected as a person.
Who hates Indians and why?
no they don't hate indians, u confusing them with australians imao
americans accept people, i have family there :)
They hate actually. Look at all the online trolling and hate posts. They are not accepting like the British people which is why there are more Indians in England.
Americans of all races hate Indians. Just talk to them and you'll figure out.
Then I feel we are actual targets of racism but all the perks are enjoyed by black people.
America is the land of racism. They always show Indians as the losers in their movies and shows.
Bade harami log hai ye to
A better option is the UK. They don't openly show their racist side.
Alright then I will move to London.
bruh i literally have a Canadian girlfriend and so many American friends who know how i look-
Racism exists everywhere. I’ve experienced racism in the UK and I spent a year there. You’ll probably experience racism in the deep South in the US. Not all Americans are racist, just like the British who may be prejudiced against some racial groups.
@Babygirl_S.. and that is STILL racism. However subtle it may be.
There are two types of racists. One who is aware that they’re racist, and the other who doesn’t realize or is just plainly ignorant. You could change the second one, but changing the first one is hard, and frankly speaking, not quite possible by words.
@SHREYASH007 Any racial group can face racism. Black, white, Hispanic, Indian, East Asian.. any group. *Almost* all ethnic groups have been oppressed, if you take a quick look history. Irish, Italian, Jewish and other “ethnic” white Americans were not considered to be “white” until sometime in the mid 20th century. Jews were clearly white, but Hitler still viewed them as “inferior”
@SHREYASH007 London is trash tbh. Oxford, Bath and Cambridge are much better options.
@TheBiggestBelieber America is alright, I guess. Although, racism *does* exist.. just like every other country out there.
@WonderBell99 I thought London is better because it has more ethnic diversity.
@Babygirl_S in terms of racism, I’d consider it as one of the least racist cities. You might want to avoid the rougher neighborhoods because of high rates of crimes there.
No, India
Could we connect?
Sure
No, Thailand.
Yupp
No. I wanna escape
Yeah I love it
No i am not
hell no
