Shallow people, if it be a man or a woman; is only after their own interest & prestige.

Both shallow men & women - tend to go after a partner who fits their ideal partner look wise: which tends to follow the current beauty standards which today is highly unrealistic due to media.

Shallow people tend to need a lot of upkeep, grooming, right clothes - right furniture, right car, which means money is required. Here I think women are more guilty of being gold diggers than men - since society makes it easier. Gender roles in relationships and all that.

Gender roles is also where the difference plays in shallow men and women. Shallow people tend to follow the norm - what is desired, fits the "flawless life". Men will seek a flawless, more submissive girl, who'll fit his image. Women will go for strong men, that appear to be a able to provide and take care of them - to fit her image. Neither care about connection, personality or compatibility. It is about image outwards.

Here’s my view on what makes a woman shallow;
Shallow women go for just the surface level of things or people.

Usually a shallow woman will go for the supermodel looking guy or the rich guy. A shallow women won’t usually care about the guy’s personality. A shitty guy with a lot of money? Fine by them, as long as the guy has money!
When I think of a shallow woman, I think of someone who lacks emotional and intellectual depth… Can’t converse with you unless it’s about surface level topics (drama, gossip, or themselves). Have a disregard for emotions, don’t really have empathy, have poor listening skills, they are selfish and only care about what happens to them, and expect others to cry for them as well.
I don’t usually see shallow women in relationships unless they are with someone who is just as shallow as them or someone who has all the qualities they like, but has very low self esteem.

Men are also shallow, they usually go for looks, no so much the money.
Some men only look for the physical appearance and they end up with shitty women as well. Same could be said about their personality traits - Only talk about surface level topics, lack of empathy, poor listening skills, selfish.
