Yes, I think I can. The most simple method that many people know is “wall-following”. Essentially, you place one hand on a wall of the maze (it doesn’t matter which hand as long as you are consistent) and then keep walking, maintaining contact between your hand and the wall. Eventually, you will get out. This is because if you imagine picking up the wall of a maze and stretching its perimeter to remove any corners, you will eventually form something circle-like, part of which must form part of the maze’s outer boundary. This method of escape may not work, however, if the start or finish locations are in the maze’s centre.

You can also imagine that, like Hansel and Gretel in the fairy story, you are able to leave a trail of “breadcrumbs” behind you as you navigate your way through the maze and then remember these rules: if you arrive at a junction you have not previously encountered (there will be no crumbs already on the trail ahead), then randomly select a way to go. If that leads you to a junction where one path is new to you but the other is not, then select the unexplored path. And if choosing between a once or twice-used path, choose the path used once, then leave a new, second trail behind you. The cardinal rule is never, ever select a path already containing two trails. This method is guaranteed, eventually, to get you out of any maze.

I've done a couple of mazes here in the UK, one of which was at Hampton Court, although that one isn't too big, the other that I can't remember where it was is a little bigger. Did find myself a touched panicked in the larger one, but I have a relatively good sense of direction and found my way in the end. Definitely helps in you have a landmark high enough that you can see it over the hedges. Oh and studying the maze map before going in helps although it's cheating a bit lol

Those are popular here and I used to go to them a lot as a kid. I had a knack for finding the exit oddly even though I've never been good at navigating other things (I tended to have to stop and ask for directions when driving to new addresses before the age when cars had GPS). Maybe it's because I'm more conscious that this is a maze and a riddle of sorts, so I pay more attention than when I'm driving.

I've gotten lost in a town I lived in for 4 years, it is tiny - has two main "roads", every path leads to those two roads. I was lost for over an hour.

I'd sit down in a corner and either starve to death or I'll be fortunate to be saved.

None of the above. I have a great sense of direction, but mazes are deliberately confusing. I suppose with enough time I could get out eventually, depending on the maze, some county fair mazes are made of hay, and are rather small. Those are easy. The topiary mazes of some European estates, can be extremely challenging!

Yes, I feel confident I would since I have a bit of an obsessive personality where I can stop till I find an answer so getting out of the maze would be considered one.

I'd panic too soon and get lost. This is why don't ever put me on a farm! I have some family and friends who are hillbilly farmers. I go visit, see the pigs and horses and chickens, but I am nvr living in that setting. I need people and civilization!

I actually went to the biggest maze in England once... it's called Longleat maze and it's in Wiltshire. It's huge and a bit overwhelming. I went in a group with some friends and my ex boyfriend when I was about 21 lol. It took us all day.

The type on the picture yes, but if you put it underground with multiple layers and add darkness, most likely not. So some others not. If I lose my ability to see I would have a problem with most labyrinths.

If there weren't tricks to solving mazes, I would not be able to. I have a great sense of direction when there are not walls around me. I need the landscape. Inside walls everything looks the same.

yes, i have in a corn maze before. what happens is majority of people start to panic and then lose all sense of direction etc, best to stay calm and at best you can always backtrack

If you, starting at the entrance of the maze, keep your right hand on the wall at all times, then by the simple laws of physics and geometry you will easily come out of the maze.
