What are ya? 🥴

Yes. I never went extreme, but I did have my middle school emo phase.
I remember wearing dark black eyeliner all the time, band t-shirt’s, all black, and I would put gel in my wet hair to make it look dark (because I didn't want to dye my hair black). I listened to a bunch of punk rock or metal bands etc.
It’s funny, I seemed to have circled back into my emo phase. Obviously not as drastic as I did when I was in middle school, but I listen to all my old emo and metal music now lol.
which bands are those?
Way too many to list, but here’s a few. Blink 182, Breaking Benjamin, System of a Down, Mudvayne, Godsmack, and Five Finger Death Punch lol.
that's a good mix... what about Mushroomhead?
I’ve heard of them, but never really listened to them
they're worth a try... especially their first albums, not so apart from Mudvayne and Slipknot sounds
Ill check them out!! Thank you! 😁
and I'll check FFDP... since a few have mentioned it to me before, but I have not gotten myself to try it yet, lol
I tried, but luckily it didn't work well for me.
I was rather cliqueless in my teenage years. I mostly hung out with jocks and skaters as a result of my sports but also nerds, stoners, Goths. Also while I was a sponsored vert skater, I didn't dress like one. I never got so into the counter-culture of skateboarding; I just loved doing airs off a vert ramp. I didn't really have much of a fashion sense back then; t-shirts and sneakers and jeans were my thing, and not fancy t-shirts but very plain ones.
In university, I started partying a bit and tried to make a more conscious effort to develop some sort of fashion style I liked. I mostly dressed like this:
... combined with some silver jewelry, string necklace, things like that.
I just dug up a cringe picture in my early freshmen year in uni when I was trying to experiment with my style. That was a bit extreme complete with a wallet chain and everything:
I toned it down soon after. :-D
No but I went through an elmo phase. Sometimes when it rains I can still hear that little fucker singing when you pushed his stomach.
What about the emu phase?
Hahaha XD
Love your username by the way
Just as I have intended

Yes from about 12-17. And I can't lie I'm still a little bit that way with how I dress, dying my hair and all my piercings. Really just stopped all the crazy makeup
wow i wouldn't have guessed
@Still-alive I think if you seen me in person it would be easy to tell. I give off those vibes... But yeah teen apple was worse. I've calmed down a lot since then.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Not as such, we already had more Goth orientated stuff, yes there was a fairly large scene of Emo in the UK, however it did not really generate bands to match it. Goth was fairly well established and emo was almost ‘scene’ as wannabe’s.
i think each generation or so, has its version of Punk, Goth, Emo, New Romantics etc. where it’s not just the music but the culture and visual statements from clothing and styling that shout out more.
nope, I didn't do phases... but I did go through 12 years of depression... does that count? lol
it's alright... we made it through
I see many commenting about wearing 'all black" I've been doing that for 20 years straight... lol
definitely not a phase
Lmao.
Naw.
Need pics.
I wanna see you all emo
Nope, so you are telling me you had one of those edgy and cringy phases lol
Oh God
I'm just imagining the cringe lol
😟😟😟
I never heard that term until after I had already been wearing all black for many years. I have been wearing all black since 1995.
Every god damned individual goes through this
I had a thing for wearing all black because it resembled Kaneki Ken's dress (i still fantasise Wearing Sasuke's cloak 😅)
No, but emo girls in anime can be pretty cool. ;) What’s she from?
There’s so many anime I want to get around to watching. Which one is your favorite?
Almost. But i started to think how mainstream they are that time
I was a fat kid and i wouldn't look good as an emo. But i did went through depression that time
*Hugs*
Oh yeah I was more of a class clown/annoyer to hide my real feelings.
It's fine now. I'm getting more self aware and now the most boring and chill person you'll meet. *Hugs* Ty!!
In the 3rd n 4th grade.. I peirced my ears and wore mascara to school lol😂
I used to paint my nails black and listened to Godsmack! 🤣
No, though I had friends who did. I was always more of a jeans and T-shirt type, myself.
Probably I didn't dress like a lot of the emo kids even though black was one of the main colors I wore.
I don't know about emo but when I was 14-15 I was obsessed with the bride of Chucky and tried to copy tiff's style 💀
Yes, with 10 I collected Monster High dolls and abused my mother's makeup set
Yes, but I honestly feel like I'm still emo, just grown up.
No, but in high school I wore a black headband, boots, had really long hair and big beard, and wore a long black coat. Oh, and of course listened to metal. Sorta of 'gothic/pseudo-military' look.
"Wears all black right now"
Ehhh, you could say that.
That said, emo girls are fucking hot, so I don't mind 😁
Lol, I did. I wore black turtleneck sweaters and black leather pants in the middle of summer
Yes black lipstick and corsets where the thing for me
Yeah but it was extremely short lived and barely serious
There was no emo when I was younger... Oh wait did you say emu? lol
Yes, when i was 13 to 15 then I realized how stupid I was and I decided to stop.
