When I first looked at it, it definitely looked like he was running towards me, but as I looked more closely the raised leg on the left, the toes are pointing down and are smaller so perspective dictates that he is in fact running away! No idea what that means “scientifically”, but I'm like the girliest girl in all of frilly pink, Girldom.

Say whatever you want, but when I put glasses on, it's just obvious he is running towards me.
I mean come on people, anatomy anybody? Logic? Look at his left arm. That is how it is supposed to look if/when he runs towards you.

Meaning, there is no male or female brain, if the test is based on not paying enough attention.

No such thing as a male or female way of thinking.

Also his sillouette is not normal, it is intentionally designed poorly so that the onlooker struggles to detect direction, in order to try to validate a stereotype, using irrelivant data percentages of how many men or women happen to guess wrong.

His outward arm being angled towards us, suggests running toward you, because no one bends it out and foward during a stride, its always out and backward, while the other is forward and tucked, and muscle shapes give away which is which.

However, his feet suggest running away, because the farthest back leg is always stretched, and the front one always bent, when in that portion of a stride, plus the higher up foot would need to bend upward awkwardly during the lifted part of the stride in order for it to be running towards us.

He looks like his waist did a 180 degree turn while running. The artist needs to work on perspective.

It's 'almost' an optical illusion. The lower calf is smaller. It's him running towards the light. Like that is really what it is. If his lower calf (raised) was the same as the other side then it would be hard to discern.

I think I'm confused mostly. At a glance, I think I interpreted it as towards, but within a second or so I thought, well, that looks weird. His legs are raised too high. Is he skipping? So then I quickly thought running away makes more sense.

Just based on the legs I can tell the man is running away from me, also it is typical to see someone running towards light than away from it.

The only way one I would interpret the man approaching is if he is doing leg raises.
