Why are cats harmful to some households?

I don't quite understand this explanation. I am a lover of animals, but what is the reason for some people's disgust towards cats and think it is harmful? I do not quite understand

I think it’s important when you get a new kitten that you properly house train them.

you work out some rules and make sure your kitten follows them.

selecting a pretty collar is often one of the first things, something cute and sparkly

If a kitten does not follow the rules, and you need to punish her, then there is nothing wrong with spanking her kitten bottom, make sure tail is out of the way.

When kittens are good though, give them plenty treats and praise,

make sure you have play time with your kitten, tummy tickles are fun but watch those claws…. as they say Kittens have Claws.

a nice brush to keep your kitten groomed and looking good.

If you catch her making the furniture, then a spank and out inside her cage is a good idea.

make her feel safe and secure, she will happily curl up in your lap at night time and be very affectionate.

Thank you for your replies, I'm pretty much friendly with my cats and rarely let them run around by themselves because I think it affects other neighbors too

Often fate plays a part and one day you have the perfect kitten to love and to own.

A pussy parlour is a good place to start.

When you get a sweet lovely one, it’s amazing how much you care for it, love it and just want to cuddle it all the time, then get sad when it hurts it’s self. Of course watching out for those claws, they do draw blood.

1. I'm allergic to cats. They're technically a health hazard to me.

2. Cats love to sharpen their claws on ANYTHING available, to include furniture, wood floors, walls, doors, etc. Your house will look awful after a short while.

3. Cats tend to pee where they feel like. If your litter box (s) don't stick them, expect to discover cat pee anywhere - under a bed, on some carpet, on your furniture, on the floor, and other places. It smells (obviously). Guests to your house will immediately KNOW you have a cat.

4. Given the above information (#2 & #3), selling your house may... repeat, it MAY drive a lower price because of that.

Perhaps you understand better if you know that cats are predators.

You say that you are an animal lover but you seem to close both eyes on the fact that cats are the number one bird killers. Did you know that? Did you know that cats were responsible for a massive reduction in bird numbers all over the world?

Cats are actually a plague and not beneficial to nature. What have cats done for humanity? Not much in reality.

On the other hand, dogs can be domesticated and can be beneficial to human beings, such as service dogs for the blind and those that have a physical or emotional challenge.

I am an animal lover and that is why I do not want any pets because most of them are much better off without humans.

My cousin spent hundreds on a dog and returned her to the pet store within 3 days, they say my aunt is allergic but I think it’s because they were too lazy to potty train a baby dog. My aunt would spend two hours putting plastic on all the furniture whenever people visited because she was worried my cousins friends might bring diseases into her home. My friend got a disease a few months after buying a dog and I think it’s a combination of work stress, parties and not sleeping because of his dog.

I love cats myself first off , but cats are not really a natural animal , and if left to simply roam they cause a lot of destruction , always keep your cats in at night time.

I would rather say that some households (... the occupants, actually) are harmful to cats :)
some people simply don't like cats - it's their right - but to poke around for ''reasons'' makes little sense.

I think part of it is culture. My friends hosted a student from China who was disgusted by their indoor cat. She said that to her it was like having chickens roaming around in the house.
