They don't care about anyone else except for themselves.
They will only talk to you, if they have something to gain from you and when they no longer need you, they will dispose you like trash

No, that's generally the default attitude of humans in general.

Americans, due to having a reasonably functional legal system, are much more likely to honor contracts than say the Chinese for example.

The difference is also a cultural one, with westerners being more likely to keep to their word as a matter of traditional moral virtue, whereas other cultures may be more open to deciet, grifting and other questionable behavior as a necessity of daily life.

Generally counties with a long history of stability and prosperity generate more trustworthy people.

That hasn't been my experience.
There's actually a lot of great people there and my ex was even American.
I get that they can be very frustrating to deal with for us.
But you can make great friends there if you make the effort.

A large chunk of Americans are very much like this. Not all though.

I think people are pretty much the same all over. Some are nice, a few are not.
