Is it true most Turkish people have olive skin?

I’m half Turkish and I’d probably say it depends on the region. Overall I’d say most people are mixed between pale to olive skin. I guess most have olive skin but also not darker. Istanbul for instance is pretty mixed but Antalya you’re more likely to get olive skin due to the weather. Also the class of the person tends to make a difference. A lot of the working class typically have more olive skin there such as farmers etc as they’re always out in the sun despite being covered, so hands etc mostly darker but there’s obviously lots of wealthier who prefer to be in the sun too so naturally have it. But not uncommon to see a super pale person too.

Well, many Turkish people are ethnically mixed and have a varying skin tones. It also depends on the region.


I’d say maybe 60% have olive skin, 20% have pale skin, and 20% have dark skin.
