If you went missing as a child where would you have most likely been found?

I was always most likely to be found in a tree. I loved climbing them. Sitting and feeling them rock in the wind. The sounds as that wind blew through them was so soothing.

Where would you have been?

Up a tree, deep into the ocean, swimming in a lake, things of this nature, and fairly often in the hospital. I tended to get injured (ex: stung by jellyfish swimming deep off the coast of Malaysia) and then strangers find me and send me to the hospital. Then my parents end up finding me in the hospital.

They put this wristband on me all the time with their phone number and my address and name and things like that since I tended to wander off all the time.

The hospital was maybe the most commonplace. I think I told you before but I was like a wannabe crocodile hunter type growing up and handling and being among wild animals. So I got hospitalized a lot as a result of wild animal attacks like jellyfish, wild dogs, hornets, things of this nature... it was the most common reason I tended to end up in the hospital besides being hit by cars.

I went missing in a shopping mall when I was about 6. I vividly remember the incident. My mother was holding my brother’s hands, and my dad was holding mine. My dad was on his phone, he’d left my hand after a while (my mum and brother were in front of us). We walked past a makeup shop and the first thing I saw was lipsticks. The whole shop was so vibrant and I used to be obsessed with colourful things back then, especially pink and red.

I remember walking into the shop, admiring the lipsticks. I don’t remember what happened later, it’s kind of hazy, but I do remember crying loudly whilst the salespeople were trying to console me. One of the sales ladies offered me a chocolate and tried to pacify me until they found my parents, but I cried louder because my mum had instructed me never to accept chocolate from strangers, lol. They found me though. Lucky I went missing in a mall and not someplace else.

I was 5-7 years old. Playing in the snow. Missed my school bus. So me as a follow, I walked home. Took 4 hours I believe. But I was always good with directions. Parents called cops, they were looking for me. I'm surprised I didn't get hurt or kidnapped or anything.

I get that. Things will happen that trigger memories that I had completely forgotten. Pretty sure yours are secure.

Well, if it was in a mall or a store, I'd be someplace there was music or electronics - such as a demo video game console setup in a store. If it was outdoors, I'd find a place in the shade to sit down next to a road or path where I could be easily found.

Probably at my friend Teddy's house. He had a backyard with so many beautiful flowers that his parents planted, and a swing, trampoline, and treehouse. I loved playing there.
