Cats sleep between 12 to 18 hours a day. The rest of the time, they are whack jobs, especially when they are young. They like to explore, investigate EVERYTHING, and entertain themselves. They mellow a lot when they are older.
It's really interesting when they all of a sudden get a wild hair up their ass and run full speed from one end of the house to the other and back, bounding over furniture as if the devil is chasing them.
My wife and I have had several cats over the years and they all have different personalities.
We had one particular kitty for 22 years. She was really fun. We used to play tag. Give her a couple hard pats on the rump and then run. She would chase and tackle my ankle. Then I would turn and chase her to repeat. Back and forth until she got tired.
Sometimes she would come out and stand on her back toes with her front paws raised against the corner of a wall and give me a wild, threatening look. I'd pretend to run away and she'd chase me. We'd go around and around. When I went around a corner, I'd wait for her, raise my arms threateningly, and then chase her. We'd take turns.
Other times, I'd pretend like I was sneaking up on her - slowly poke my head out from behind something and then hurriedly pull back when she saw me. Each time I poked my head out again, she'd be closer and in crouched, attack mode with a crazy look in her eye. Then, if I took off running, she'd chase me.
One time I was behind the sofa and slowly rising up so that only the top of my eyes and head were visible. She saw me and went on kill mode. When I came up again, she was crouched against the front of couch with her ears flattened to the sides. When I came up again, she was eye ball to eye ball and batted my head really hard (no claws). Now THAT was funny! She really surprised me.
The thing is, she never bit or used claws. If she slapped me, it was always with a soft paw - just playing.
We played other games, too. And she had toys to entertain herself with.
I had one cat climb the screen of our back door and get stuck. Another managed to get on the high window sill above the guest bathtub. It's like 6' high. She didn't know how to get down.
We had one cat who would follow us on walks. She would also follow us into the garden and try to help when we were working there.
We had one cat who was very territorial. One time I noticed her stalking something like a lion crouching and creeping up on an antelope. Then I noticed three young bucks (deer), lying on a slope next to our house. When Sofi got close, the deer noticed her and wondered what she was up to. Suddenly she lunged at them screaming with her front paws raised and claws out in a faux attack. They jumped to their feet and one lowered his head with his tiny antler points defensively. She stood there with her fur all puffed up and a kink in her tail, growling and screaming at them until they cautiously backed away and left "her" yard. LMAO
I love cats.
They are more like evil little geniuses who have figured out a way to coexist with the most dangerous of all predators despite their size. They also figured out how to survive and be protected and cared for by these preditors in a non parasitic way. Think about it we feed them care for them buy them things so they can entertain thselves. We don't require any manual labor on their part. We don't expect that they will protect us. We also understand and on some level allow them to cause us physiçal pain such as a scratch or minor bite without our first thought being to kill them or exterminate them. A rat bites or scratches someone it's usually going to die as with a lot of other animals out there. So cats are far from crazy. Manipulative calculating little shits yeah but not crazy.
Nice Abs by the way.
I don’t have abs by the way
I was commenting on the abs displayed in the photo with cat. I didn't necessarily say hey 736 you have nice abs. The abs in the photo however are nice not sure who they belong to but they look defined and are worthy of compliment.
Cheeky.
Anyway, cats do like high places. And they are very curious. They would sometimes get stuck while exploring.
I don't know, but I really wonder what is going on inside their heads sometimes 🤣

Cats are not crazy. They simply act like cats, think like cats, and do things we do not understand.
@Snsl153 I’ve owned cars for over thirty years and have observed them constantly over that time span.
People with schizophrenia aren't crazy
They just act like they have schizophrenia think like they have schizophrenia and do things we don't understand
@crossdressingrihno Some schiophrenics are batshit crazy! I spent five years working in a mental hospital.
Exactly
@crossdressingrihno But people with schizophrenia are very abnormal compared to the majority of humans on the planet. "Crazy" cat behavior is the norm for cats.
Since I made the question. I think both of you should separate cats being crazy and schizophrenia. Since both are very different topics. Schizophrenia in cats it’s not possible.
Agree!
It's normal for most cats because most cats are crazy
They aren't crazy; they just aren't YOU!
Lol all love.
My two cats were really nuts when they were young. They used to chase each other around the house and you never knew what they would do next. They calmed down once they got to be 3 or 4years old.

He's so chunky
Awww that's so cute 😍
Well, look how crazy Tigers are, they are all from the same bloodline so that answers your question, I've dealt with cats, We had one named Chrissy, she was gorgeous and I would put this certain cologne on she wouldn't get off of my lap, Yes cats can be crazy I've dealt with the crazy ones as well as the calm ones.
are they really? my cats do sleep and nap for the majority of the time... although they do have two or three spikes of energy during the day
especially the younger one, which is around eight months old and a male cat
I have a cat as well, and I don't think she's crazy. Likes to play a lot, and sleep too, and of course be fed. Seems to only like me for some reason though.
One time a neighbor was cutting down a tree, he took of all the branches and left the top of the pole like tree flat for the night. When I walked outside the next morning a cat was sitting on top of the tree trying to figure out how to get down
For them, every day is Caturday!
They are wild animals who happen to like us (at least some of the time). I think they think we are big stupid cats.
It's more crazy when they steal your food or poop in the wrong place. That've been doing it to me all week.
@guy__
The main reason is the litter box is not clean.
@MysteriousDarkness @guy__ they are mad about something with the litter. Maybe the type? Or they are taking revenge about some other issue.
They're predators who want to be outside hunting prey and we keep them inside so they don't become pancakes under a car 😂 they gotta get their kicks somewhere
It's not ALL cats! I'm offended that you would make such generalization, there are good cats... wait that sounds familiar..
See me above
@Guardian45 I’ve typically found that people don’t like cats generally have issues with boundaries.
I like cats, but they don't always like me! I catsat many cats.
Not all cats are lazy. i have a very active cat she always eager to play with me. If don't paly with her she gets angry. And i love her cuz i love pussy cat😏
Cats like high places so they can get a better view of their surroundings. Look at all the tall cat trees people by for their cats.
Crazy? They are cats, they act like cats... they are not dogs, they do not act like dogs, they are not human, so they do not act like humans... What do you expect them to act like? Grapefruits?
Because most of them are owned by crazy cat ladies and it rubs off!
They are not crazy, they are wild. We never domesticated them, they domesticated us.
They have s hunting and stealth instinct they are working out.
I have 3 cats, One won't move much but to eat or go to the box, the other one wants to be around people. the third one. now this doesn't think he's a cat. into everything, can find anything. does pulled up on the tower
Because they are cats! Other than crazy, a lot cats are super lazy too! (Also I think you accidentally revealed yourself)
I agree, but I love it. My cat bats imaginary pieces of paper across the floor. I think she's demented, lol.
I love cats, my cat used to like to go on top of the fridge and hide in the craziest spots.
they love tight spaces, makes them feel safe. a nd they love to be high up for the same reason
Like any other pussy, they rarely get played with 🙃😗
A lot of times they just like to act playful.
@Still-alive what will you say?
Thats the cat life for ya lol
Maybe because they are mindless?
They aren't.
They just like to be curious.
They’re flexible and agile.
As you know got feeling and lust too.
There was a cat in the pic? 😃
Because they are cats
They have mental illness
My cat is such a bitch 🐱😂
Just because they are cats!!
Looks staged.
That's so funny!!
They tend to be mean
They’re just curious
Beats me!
Just remember, if you die, your dog lay down beside you until someone comes by ir it dues.
If you die, after a couple of days, your cat will eat you.
if you die, your dog will lay down beside you until someone comes by or it dies.****
Like females
