What do you think of the common saying 'a broken clock is right twice a day'? does it apply to anyone or anything in your life?

Its not a entirely true saying, if your clock happens to be a sundial.
Doesn't really apply, cause the odds for two minutes a day, is 2 in 24 or 1 in 12. Those are extremely high odds to randomly be right... for me it is usually more like.000062 odds of it instead.
Maybe a clock twice a day on a planet with a much longer rotation. Maybe Venus (Women are from there after all) with a day being a 116d 18h 0m of Earth's rotations. Them be some long hours, but fits me better.
It's a shit statement. Metaphorically used in direct to a person I wouldn't associate with. If/when that person achieves or does something right, why should they be acknowledged for it? It shouldn't even make an bent to the awful person they are.
fair enough
Even a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.
I like this one better.
And sure it applies to a lot of people.

Depending on the clock a broken clock could be right twice a day. On the flip side if the hour, minute & seconds hands fell off the clock right twice a day it is not.

It applies nicely to conspiracy theorists and people who believe in alternative facts. The type who support every wacky idea out there and when once in a blue moon they're right see it as proof all their other beliefs are right.
Who does it apply to? Well you don't have to look far on GAG to find them
i think it would be a better saying if it were more accurate being changed to
a broken clock is right an amount of times every day, depending on the type of clock
but i also think it makes me feel better bc I'm stupid and say wrong things all the time
sometimes though imr. ight
I’ve never heard this saying and have no idea what it’s supposed to mean lol
usually meaning someone who's wrong practically all the time can be right about things sometimes. but it seems more on accident then on purpose that they are correct.
something like that
Wait wha...
May take a few years for me to understand but never heard of such a thing. And i'm on American paper. Yes, it matters I'm on American paper, because that makes me American.
I have NEVER understood that saying! If the clock is broken, then it won’t even light-up so you can’t see any numbers at all, just a blank display! 😂 jk
Means anyone should be able to get something right just out of chance.
Which then begs the question. How can the Biden administration get EVERYTHING wrong, unless it's on porpuse?
It's true. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, LOL
I don't understand it :)

Oh lol... that's deep... well I like the statement.
Only liars would say everything is always 100%.. there are always variations... I would give most enemies or people I dislike the benefit if the doubt sometimes.
It is bot just a matter of honesty but also intelligence.
Nobody is 100% smart... so if we think we are always right and someone else is always wrong... that is a disadvantage to ourselves
I believe this to be true but could be wrong?
does it apply to anyone or anything in your life?
My watch says …..”now”. It’s always right.
Just about how life with adhd feels.
I don’t get it
