What is consciousness and where in your body is it located, if it is at all?

I'd say the intersection of instinct and memory. Somewhere between the groin and brain. That balance depends on how much you're ruled by instinct, or reasoning based on experiences that make up your memories. Or if there's damage to the brain or groin, that'll swing the balance greatly too. Male or female, it's about the same, just our strategies to reproduce are different.

It is stored in the cells of your brain. Nobody knows where it goes after you die.

It is the sum total of all your experiences plus everything your imagination was able to produce.

Although a lot of your body is autonomous in lots of surprising ways (like there are people who can't see who will avoid obstacles on the floor while walking what they think is a straight line).

Extreme complexity coming from (relatively) simple components that follow (relatively) simple rules that have evolved over millions of years to the point where they can ask "What is consciousness?".

I think it’s located mostly in the brain. I’m not sure what consciousness is. The more I see about how animals behave, the less I think we’re massively different from them
