Why is oxygen disappearing from the oceans?

That is easy to answer. I learned it in my science class. Cold water can hold more dissolved oxygen than warm water. In winter when the water temperature is low, the dissolved oxygen concentration is high. Now that summer is approaching, the water temperature is increasing and the dissolved oxygen is lower and therefore losing dissolved oxygen. Also, there may be other reasons. An underwater volcano would surly increase the water temperature.

Also, this may be a reason but I don't really know. My father, who is very good at science, suggested that for about 12,000 years since the Ice Age, earth has been in an intergalactic warm period and possibly during these 12,000 years, the oceans have been gradually warming. However, since it is been a very long time, he doesn't know if that is causing a gradual warming of the oceans. Instead, it may just be the seasons—more dissolved oxygen in the winter and less in the summer.

There's literally millions of pages of proof out there that you can easily access.
But you've already decided what you want to believe and due to confirmation bias you're going to assume that I'm wrong.
So why present any evidence here?
I live in Norway however, and can feel the effects directly, as my region is more susceptible to climate change then the US.
I've had the physics classes where we literally did experiments proving the principles involved in the greenhouse effect, seeing it with my own eyes.
My local university is involved in measuring changes in composition of the air and water as well as snow and ice layers and the rocks of our mountains.

Climate change is real, and predominantly caused by humans, and even if we stopped all release of greenhouse gases this moment the changes would continue to get worse due to the inertia of the system.
At least we have the bunkers and money to live through the mess that humanity has created, unlike you guys.

Because we , as humans , make all the environment gets dirtier day by day. Just think about it , scientist has founded some packages , glasses or garbages eben in Mariana Trench. This means we spill the dirt everywhere even the places we cannot even see , go , or even have a chance to visit in normal conditions , right? The flora of Earth is destroyed by us. Check the global photos from the Google Earth and look at the ground from the eagle view according timeline the forest are burning , detroyed every year , the garbage island has been created by us in the middle of ocean we kill animals by those dirty things even we are not even aware of this , so the oxygen level decreases as the every second passes. We have to keep the World clean and teach our children and grandchildren that the whole World is ours if we puch it after a while it will knock us out terribly. We have to educate conciousness to deal with that problem. Hope one day we will succeed it.

Too much organic shit in the oceans causing more algae and plant matter to grow there.

Unlike land (where more plants and animals are a good thing) in the ocean they cause much more problems

Most of the oxygen we breathe comes from oceanic plankton. If conditions aren't right this could drop. Around now we also get the dreaded mayweed that browns the sea and reduces local oxygen levels.

sounds like we have to give up factory farming techniques, which means less food. it's going to be a tough 100-500 years for human kind.

solution: plant more trees? return to organic farming?

@lightbulb27. "Organic" farming used to just be called farming before mechanization, artificial (petroleum based) fertilizers and poisons were introduced. Local farms fed communities.

But corporatization took over. Small farms around the world are driven out of business so that corporations can grab the land and engage in gigantic, monocropping enterprises.

Permaculture is the new term for methods that were employed by successful farmers for thousands of years.

Corporations aren't in the business of feeding the world. They are in the business of maximizing profits and driving out competition. They actually cause starvation. On top of that, they produce shitty food.

the more pollutants go in and less plant life in the ocean and the hotter the oceans get the less oxygen it can hold but mostly the plant life disappearing because of all the pollutants getting dumped in the oceans
