I was driving, and a guy was trying to cross the road while LOOKING AT HIS PHONEEEEEEEEE If I had hit him, it would be on me. I haven’t hit anyone before, so knowing me, if I had hit him, I would panic.
I had to honk at him, to get him too look up from his dang phone.
Why are people like this? WTF 😡😡😡

I have hit many animals and people before. It was in the morning and my mom had told me to go and fill petrol in our small car. I had gone, and while coming, I struck a piglet that was crossing the road without looking here and there, while its mom had seen the road.
Then I was passing through a neighborhood, and suddenly a child comes in between the road. I literally had to pull up the handbrake as the normal brakes would not have worked here. So opposing force on both the front and rear wheels.
Then when I was driving our big car, on 1st gear, I accidently struck a woman that was walking on the left side of the road. The moment I heard her screaming sound, I stopped the car with a horn. I did not have my attention on the road at that time. Thankfully she had not injuries just some bruises here and there, and she was well. We offered her to drop at her location, but she said that she was fine.
It is after this big car incident that I have stopped looking at the infotainment system in the car. I only focus on the road while I am driving. Been months, but still keep that incident in my mind to just focus on one thing.
I nearly hit a man when I was driving home from work in Macon years back. It was after dark and he was walking down the middle of the on-ramp to the interstate wearing all black. I barely missed hitting him and immediately called my coworker because I knew he was taking the same route, and luckily he answered right before he got on the ramp and avoided him as well. The next day I saw on the news that a man was killed in the same area because he was walking on the interstate and got hit.
I'm pretty sure he was trying to kill himself. He didn't even flinch when I barely missed him. I should have called the cops immediately after I called my coworker, but I wasn't thinking clearly due to the fact I nearly killed someone.
Yes, a few weeks ago, I was trying to leave a gas station and a guy suddenly stepped out in front of my car while he was trying to walk from the pump into the store.
I had to slam on my brakes so hard that there was a loud squealing noise.
And then, as he crossed, he gave me dirty looks like he was angry with me for almost hitting him. He didn’t seem to accept any responsibility for it at all.
I almost hit people while driving multiple time, mostly bicycle cause those are assholes who aren't careful at all and one time I nearly hit a family but this was when I was learning how to drive and didn't have my licence.
I was driving at the high-way, just entering the city... and then, out of some bushes, some little child tried to run across the highway and I just didn't react at all physically, I just felt all of me sinking into a void of WTF... but, quite fortunately the mother was very quick too grab that child by the clothes and pull them back
there would be have been nothing at all I could have done about that but oh well, nothing else happened... that was just absolutely awful (knocking on wood a million times)

So I got sides wiped by someone once and got blamed for it because I told the cop I needed to let the adrenaline cool off before I gave a statement and they guy who was weaving through traffic with his girlfriend and dog in the front seat just immediately blamed the whole thing on me.
To be honest it really pissed me off so I spent hours researching forensic accident info. And used my incredibly spiteful attitude I had in my early 20's to figure out how to explain irrefutably that the marks and damage on my car indicated the exact angle and approximate speed of the collision.
It also helped that they were total dip shits.
My insurance company called me because they wanted to ask who my lawyer was and when I told them that I represented myself the guy was speechless. My rate never went up.
No but a woman hit me with her car while talking on the phone when I was like 9 years old I think, I was going to school, it was just a scratch thank God but yeah, at least she offered to take me to the hospital but like I said it was just a scratch and I was in a hurry.
I was hit from behind three times within 6 months. The first one was setting at a stoplight and the network was playing with a cell phone when it hit me. The second time I was at a construction site on an interstate and the person that hit me was again playing with her cell phone. The third time I was hit was by an alcoholic.
Well yea he doesn’t really have to pay attention 😭as you said it’s gonna be your fault either way so if he lives from it that’s a huge payday. Of course most people aren’t willing to get injured for that but yea the driver has to be on the watch🤷🏾♂️
I've hit two cars since 1980-something, both parked, and driven in front of one car at traffic lights where there's usually a left filter, but there were road works. Since it was a British car in Germany, the poor woman thought she'd killed the driver!
I stuck around to face the consequences in all cases, of course.
No i have not but many times i have been super close to hitting people either my fault for actually not paying attention or looking both directioms while driving or not checking any mirrors and just assuming nobodys there or someone was driving like me or someone just ran in the middle of the street lol
Just a suggestion, what if you were An MMA FIGHTER, like my Niece she is 24 an on top her game but in defense she hit her DOUCHEBAG Boyfriend as hard as she could one time head her one punch daised him enough an he backed off? An if that COWARD had actually knocked her out both could be dead in an accident along with two kids!
No, I did get into an accident before though, brakes didn't work good enough on the wet streets, I felt it slipping, someone randomly stopped on the highway. Between that car and mine was a mini-van, it got a small bump, mine was totalled -1000 euro.
Unless it was a "limited access" road, what is either a freeway or a tollway (in the United States anyway), the pedestrian is assumed to have the right of way, and sadly on a city street, you the driver must beware.
I've had some close calls, like the one mentioned in this post, but haven't hit anyone. I've been able to swerve or stop to avoid wacky pedestrians crossing in the middle of the block, or on a red light.
I can't tell you how many times I've almost hit people. They are just completely oblivious to the fact that there are cars on the road. Or that cars and trucks can't simply stop lol.
Yes because the guy came to a complete stop and made the slowest turn in the world them got out yelling at me over a dent when my entire fucking radiator was busted took everything I had to not shoot him
No I have not and not i have not. I learned to pay attention when i am behind the wheel of a metal missile on wheels. PUT YOUR DAMN PHONE away and stop trying to do more than one thing at a time.
