Question about a car problem?

I took an automatic Honda accord station wagon for a test drive. While accelerating the car didn't feel smooth, especially when it it seemed like the gear was changing, it almost seemed bumpy/ sluggish when speeding up and going into different gears.

Any idea what that problem might be? It's an automatic imported car. The car dealer said it seemed normal when he drives, but I won't be trusting him lol.

Is the check engine light on and pull the dip stick for transmission a smell it if it smells burnt i would stay away from it your the one going to be spending the money so ask as many questions you can here is a tip when yoj pop the hood look around any edges or around trim pieces for paint overspray if you see any sort of overspray its a good indication that the car was wrecked and repaired make sure title is clean and not a salvaged title

The car was maybe out of electrical power for an extended period? Could it be that the adapted parameters for the automatic gearbox were lost?

If you can't get it checked by a mechanic of your choosing, than don't buy it.

I will get it checked out, but I would rather know before I get checked out.
