Would you post your children on social media? Or are you already doing so? And why?

I just stumbled over a question regarding this topic

Soooo personally I would never put my future children up on social media.
I don't even make stories with my little sis or if I did in the past, you could only see her hand and even then I asked her for permission haha

I remember that my aunt used to put pics of us kids on her Facebook back then and we still absolutely hate it!
When I was a teen and got fb, I reported those fotos lol.

Anyways I don't support that, I would wanna keep my kids private and also respect their privacy. Plus my future kids are no one elses business! Nobody has to know

I actually would not. I once used to have Facebook account no any other social media in the past and will not want to. Even there I just had only profile pictures , however , I do not like take pictures nor the picture of me is taken. Only the people that I know were my friends in there then I deleted my account after using it 5 years. I really do not like social medya at all. And the people now have instagram accounts which allow them to take pictures of every ridiculous things that they are doing so I am so sensitive about it. Except Facebook I have an account on this website , as you see lol If I fed up using this I am gonna deleted this one , too. Anyway , I would not post any photos with my children (not only with them but also with anyone even our photo was taken) cuz the people that gonna see that maybe lost their children which could make them sad or the ones who will not have any children due to their health issues I do not want them to be broken-hearted , especially while they are upset it would not be suitable for anyone to post photos in which anyone is smiling with the other people could mean making them jealous. The first pic of my profile in here was with someone in my family but I then tought that it is also kinda same thing and changed it later on.

It's generally a bad idea to even be on social media when in a relationship. It can cause so much drama, and it's such a mark of maturity for the woman in the relationship, because a lot of girls get attached to wanting to post on social media, and love the attention and the likes.

My ex deleted her social media (Facebook in this case) with me. In fact, it was her idea to do so, and I couldn't agree more. Letting go of social media for Love and a healthy relationship is the best thing you can do. My hat's off to you if you quit social media for a relationship to be successful.

No because I love my children enough to keep their personal lives private. I never and can never understand why people have the need to share EVERYTHING their kids do whether they post pics of their kids either potty training or in the bath or even talk about stuff that's going to humiliate them in a few years when they're older. Plus there are some sick and twisted people out there. Sorry but I would NEVER do that to my children.

I would not post in public. Although I will post it where only my friends and relative family could see it. My friends and relatives are far and from the other side of the world so only social media is the way where there is constant communication for us.

I do post my daughter but only on private accounts that only have family and friends so I know strangers aren’t viewing. Even then, I’m not one of those parents who posts every single detail of their kids lives. I just post family pics here and there.

however we do have a family n friends site and that is controlled by my daughter.

it’s always about having consent of subjects in the photo.

even posting friends groups is not really nice if the other (s) do not want it.

Sweet I deleted Facebook Instagram and all that stuff Twitter everything I deleted all my social media 5 years ago and it's the greatest thing I've ever done I come on places like this anonymously you know. Everybody's always trying to outdo each other on Facebook everybody's trying to one up each other not even involve children we're trying to say their children are prettier than everybody else children..

Number one reason I deleted it though. Was why would I care about what people are having for lunch and dinner when I didn't give a crap about them 30 years ago now all of a sudden everybody wants to be your friend to all the bullies all the assholes and all the girls that were mean to you social media is a cancer that must be stopped in my opinion of course WTF do I know

My dad does this
He takes pictures of me and my brother most days and puts them on Facebook for his mom to see, and a few others in the family look at them. The thing though is he takes secret pictures, which means he waits until I’m not looking, which means me being on my phone. It must look like I am always on my phone or something when really I’m not.

Not necessarily, if anything, family is the one thing I'd lie about online or at the very least be more ambiguous about. People don't need to know. Kids can post themselves if they want when they're older.

It would be very minimal. Social media is extremely useful and it is important kids understand how to use it.

That said. I would have my kids on social media because I would want to set the precedent of what is appropriate to post before they get their own accounts.

Being careful not to post too much of them or show them in any kind of opinionated light.

To me it's about setting them up with something they can use to be successful in the future.

If I have kids I would because To tell people that I am taken and don’t try nothing cause I am happily married with kids 😇. But I would be careful where I take them, not anywhere near their school, outside our house, near friends house. I would take them in public parks but to make sure not to say where. I don't know I have this planned out 😂

I followed a couple on Youtube who posted a lot of content that I was interested in. Then when she got pregnant they decided for that reason to cut the channel.
First time I ever thought about that but their reason make solid sense.

Eh. I don’t know. I’m generally really private. I would probably do it if I trusted the privacy controls and could limit the posts to family. I still use almost all fake info online so I’m harder to find. Fake birthdate and year, faked address, fake last name, etc.

I think if I DID post, I would still use nicknames or something, so that weirdos can’t just get a name and try to lure them away or something.
