How come we never hear of mass knife throwings?

Knife's kill too, right? I mean, if you stab someone enough or in the right place, it'll kill them. Yet, you only ever hear of mass shootings. How come you never hear of mass knife throwings/stabbings?

Too slow, usually serial killers use them.
Mass murderers like quicker kills, guns, cars, bombs, poison.

True but in japan a guy did a mass stabbing. Nearly 20 stabbed at once and nobody had a gun to stop him!

As I remember news, last week there was a mass stabbing in a train in Berlin. I'm not sure if he used a knife or a hatched but those happenings are common in Germany.
