Well i listened to a radio show last night where they have listener call ins. The answer he got was mental illness medication which i believe to be an educated response because they coincide historically. It definitely was not always around. Its current.

Because too many people are broken inside and never learned how to process pain without passing it on.

We live in a world that glorifies aggression but stigmatizes vulnerability where power is mistaken for strength and empathy is seen as weakness.

Combine that with inequality, desperation, and desensitization from media, and violence becomes the language of the unheard.

At its core, every stabbing or shooting starts long before the weapon, it starts in the mind, in the home, and in the heart that was never taught peace.

@Caughtulookin As I answered elsewhere in comments or commentary section/s, personally I believe there's two factors. One factor, the USA specifically has the whole 2nd Amendment rights thing - and something about having a bill of rights separately or somewhere supposedly in their Constitution about searches and seizes of things or objects and just cause and blah blah - and then separately you've got the usual issue of crime and criminals, in that, criminals themselves don't obey laws, in any country, anyways, or that's supposedly the bad logic of crime and criminals: criminals, are criminals and don't obey laws.

So I guess it's those things.

@Caughtulookin and then of course USA specifically has supposedly the rights to permits of conceal carry or permits of open carry, State by State or whatever and whether it's a right or not, blah blah blah. Anyways I'm not American, and I'm glad I live in a relatively safe, strict country, when it comes to all crime, it's a very strict legal system im glad I live in and a safety country I'm glad for and a strong justice/legal system. And to be fair, from my view, USA has a stringent legal justice system itself. Not much different than any other country.

There aren't more than before. The early 1990s were twice as violent.

Go watch Death Wish or Escape from New York; that's where people really thought things were going back then (not unreasonably, violence had doubled or tripled after WWII, but it was probably because of lead in fuel).

80s and 90s and previous was gang violence which hasn't gone away actually because its just a regular occurance now.

Because we let people carry guns and knives without just cause. The more weapons are being carried the more likely one is going to be used in anger.

@purplepoppy likely though the issue @Caughtulookin Asker is that "it's mostly USA, with their laws for open carry permits or concealed carry permits" when it comes to firearms and the 2nd Amendment applicable to only the USA - and then from there you've only just got the typical folks worldwide who are criminals aka lawbreakers. Etc. so really your question is as old as time itself - crime. It's always a problem. Plain and simple - crime and criminals, it's a sad aspect of humans

To answer that you need to look at who is doing them. I believe when you do you’ll see mental illness is a big part of the problem. An additional problem is the illegals that have been coming in from counties whose culture is ok with stabbings if they feel dishonored. It’s only going to get worse

There werent any when i was younger. Thete was just the terrorist stuff and serial killers that werent caught yet. There werent mass shooters in schools or churches.
