How do you keep yourself cool when this week is going to be 100 degrees M-Th?

My lab/workshop is in my basement, I have central ac but in the summer I hang out down there as it's always comfortable. Usually I'm programming or designing circuits. Sometimes I'll play PC games.

I have a large garden but all I really need to do in the summer is weed and water occasionally. (And mow the grass). I do miss my pool in Florida however.

Teehee spend the summer in Texas. I remember one year we had 100 consecutive 100° days.

You learn:
Get your house as cold as possible at night, or it'll never recover from the day.

Crack your car windows to vent pressure and heat.

When possible start your car 5 minutes before leaving to let it cool off.

Drink a minimum of a half gallon of WATER every day.

Limit exposureDress light Find shade (it brings the temp down 10°)

Get your outside work or play done early then get inside where it's cooler. If working outside or elsewhere where it is this hot keep hydrated and use cooling rags around neck

seek out air conditioning.
if none, draw a bucket/pan/cooler full of water and sit in the shade with feet in it.
head for the mountains.
head for a swimming pool.
wear wet shirts and a wet towel on neck when outdoors

In Illinois? Lol y'all think 80 degrees is hot it really be in the 100's over here for months but to be fair im sure y'all have hella humidity too so that probably makes it worse

Yeah when i lived in Georgia for abit the heat & humidity were the worse lol and when i lived in Arizonas it was just smothering. I can only California cause i was born here lol
