Morbid, I know. Lol.
What do you think would cause the apocalypse?
Morbid, I know. Lol.
Just in the interest of clarity: “Apocalypse” means “revelation.” The title of the last book of the New Testament is The Apocalypse/Revelation of St. John. Some of the visions revealed in that book deal with events at the end of the world.
I assume you are asking what events can end the world; rather than what could cause God to give you a revelation. …but I thought it would be proper to be secure the first principals of the discussion.
I think it would essentially have to be a runaway effect of "nothing to lose". I mean there are so many scenarios but also so many brakes to prevent it.
That's true

» the event that can bring the end of humanity, namely the apocalypse = • Are contagious deadly epidemics that cannot be cured? • The wrath of space or earth by natural disasters? • Risky experiments that we can't predict the end of? • Like climate change or similar ice age? • Great wars that cannot be won, such as the 3rd world war? • Experiencing depletion problem in natural resources and depletion problem in food sources? • Or is it because people do not want to have children or the world of testing has become uninhabitable due to crime rates?
there's already a degradation or deterioration of the permafrost going on at the moment, and that could very possible lead to an insane increase in the release of methane into the atmosphere
I hope its zombies. Its literally the only scenario I'm fully prepared for
Hell yes
I believe it will be multiple catastrophic weather occurences resulting in a significant mass extinction event.
Us humans. Already heading there. We're destroying not only each other, but the earth. Social media is even contributing to it.
Gamma ray burst within 3k light years aimed at earth and its by by for all life.
We have a pretty strong Gamma source about 8 light minutes away.
@Paul_in_Indy lol yes we do but it is not capable of 1 teraelvtronvolt which is the strongest GRB event. Fortunately non have ever been observed close enough for us to be sure what can generate something that strong.
Either overpopulation or a catastrophic nuclear event.
Nukes are looking more likely of late.
