If we just HAD to have an apocalypse which would you rather it be?

So the apocalypse is coming in this question, there's no way around it. But which would you rather it be?

Zombie: Zombies either due from biological weapon leaks, or growing into super bugs with no antibiotics

Alien invasion- an alien race has found us but unfortunately are the hostile take no prisoners kind...

Asteroid strike- Earth go boom!

Nuclear- We lose all sense of rationality and self control and our world leaders launch nukes at each other killing a huge chunk of the population and plunging the rest into a nuclear winter dog eats dog style

Volcanic apocalypse- massive tectonic event causes a series of volcanic eruptions. Ash blocks out the sun for a decade. Plants are no longer a sustainable food source and people rely on hunting animals. Many areas are covered with lava, and water supplies are often tainted.

Robots take over! Think skynet from terminator, they become aware and decide they are superior to humans and subjugate them to do their own bidding.

New Ice Age- the world basically freezes over

1) ZOMBIE - It is easiest. Actually, we already have been through zombie Apocalypse, Just never on humans, and it gets cleaned away within weeks.

Here is my list of reasons.
a) For a fight scenario - You need to build a not-accessible parameter, Pick a hill, or closed military base, or a fortress. Keep only one way inside, and one way outside, Making it secure and easy to guard and defend. Use melee weapons, specifically engine-based machines to damage the incoming targets. Use Fog or smoke to cut off their vision in the area of the bridge where you use melee weapons it is very efficient.
Wear Full body covering protection, and you have nothing to worry

b) VIRUS is very weak - Viruses cannot survive outside the body of the host for +15 minutes, even worse in the presence of sunlight. Put a coat of Chemicals that are harmless to the human body but will kill any virus it comes into contact with, on your full body covering.

c) Scan and move - If you are moving, Use flying drones to scan the area for zombies. or binoculars.

d) Availability of resources - A zombie apocalypse, means all the resources like food, water, soil, and air will still be available to use. Hence, it is the easiest scenario.

ALIENS - if come to kill us, There is no way you can grow food, find any. They can just poison the air or block the sun for 1 month, and it is game over for us.

Asteroid - Again, if the Sun gets blocked, or the Air is unbreathable. Everything will die and fungi will dominate the world. we are done.

Nuclear winter - Apart from Radiation, Nuclear winter means we will have charged Air with radioactive molecules. There will be no place on earth that is not radioactive, killing us all with Radiation poisoning. We can go underground, But we are a surface-dwelling species. we will never make it without sun or clean Air.

Decade - Again a lot of LAVA means, Volcanic Ash in the AIR. Blocking of SUN and we are screwed. On Earth, we have had one of these mass extinctions before.

ROBOT - I have worked with A. I. and Trust me. This is the worst scenario, where you will be miserable and happy at the same time. I would rather kill myself than try to survive this one.

ICE AGE- This will seem easy, but ICE AGE means polar shift, which also means. Solar radiation bringing down, our internet and radio, and no crops. Also, the Cold climate has already caused one of the MASS EXTINCTIONS before, no justification is needed.

ok, ALL IN ALL. When it is a question of survival, it is all about choosing the one, where resources are abundant. Survival of a species has been less about threats from other species, but more about favorable environment and adaptability to the environment. EVERY MASS EXTINCTION of life on earth. Happened due to a change in ENVIRONMENT. Don't pick an apocalypse where the environment changes.

I’ll take ice age!

1. I’d never survive in the zombie apocalypse, I’d be dead in 5 seconds.
2. Alien invasion take no prisoners Die! Die! Die! Scenario would mean advanced weaponry we don’t understand & tracking capabilities also hunting humans for fun…. I don’t want to go out that way.
3. Asteroid would lead to mass destruction AND an ice age if I survive the impact
4. Nuclear, we all lose and it becomes Fallout 76 up in this place
5. & 6. Robots and volcano aren’t my cup of tea.

Was hoping to be spared by alien lol I couldn’t read the whole thing so went with my odds of volcanic apocalypse. I’d simply just build a brick/ marble or both? “Tree house” that was mountain like but super high above sea level and in the air. This way the lava could thicken it and sort of hug around it and harden HOPEFULLY LOL

and then I could farm crops up there, have air purifier and plants, maybe an air mister as well. Some led lights and such. Maybe try to get high enough above the massive cloudy haze. Would either have to recycle or engineer water somehow 😂 or both. And I don't know just kind of hope for the best and hope it’s full/fool proof? Maybe both? 👍

If I could handle and tolerate cold I’d go with ice age. That one would be secondary but it’s tied with asteroids as I’d rather deal with natural disaster and aim to predict that then deal with horrendous frenzy feasting zombies or hostile aliens or even quick robots. 🤖 👍

I’d hope to survive the volcanos but if not 🤷‍♀️ try to have a smooth departure “ “ or work with musk for mars 👍 🪐✨

Asteroid, world go boom! We’d be wiped in an instant, not much suffering involved. With aliens, zombies, nuclear fallout, ice age etc, it would just be prolonged suffering and those who survive would be living in constant struggle. That’s not a world I’d want to live in. So I’d rather live in no world.

Funnily enough zombies would be the one were humanity has the biggest chance of not only winning but recovering.

1# For one zombies like what you see in movies can't exist in real life it's not possible. And even if it was possible the zombies bodies would literally rot away and die within weeks or the bodies would starve and die. So you could wait it out for a while.

2# Hollywood greatly underestimates our militaries capabilities especially in such a scenario. The reality of it most militaries but especially ours would decimate zombie hordes fairly easily.

Alien invasion. I suppose intelligent alien species who is capable to interstellar travel would develop a virus that is deadly to humans and doesn't mutate. They could take over without destroying ecosystem.

Humans survived the ice age without modern tech so with modern technologies this would be by far the easiest one to survive. We may even reach a post post-apocalyptic era.
