I have light skin and easily get sunburned... plus I don't like getting too hot... so I'll take the cold blizzard.

It's easier to wear lots of clothes to stay warm in the cold than to shed clothes' in extreme heat.

Probably the fire as ash makes good fertilizer. In the freeze you would have to deal with rotting bodies as well as waiting for the permafrost layer to get low enough to dig.

Fire leaves pretty much nothing behind, and plants can quickly grow in ashen soil.

Cold weather would be nicer, but in theory all the ash from the fire would grow new life, plants and such... but really depends on what is left over.

I have no tolerance for cold weather so I would probably not survive the second option. either way, most thing would be destroyed, not only lives.
