My dad had a pet shop that specialized in reptiles. Well anyways he also had a bunch of them as pets and among the animals were over 50 kinds of snakes.

My dad let me take care of a Burmese python. Though probably the two scariest ones were the big black boa constrictor and the side winder.
My favorite was the Burmese python and the big black boa.
I love snakes an even as an adult I love them to bits and don't mind playing with wild ones.

They fascinate me, but I keep them at arm's length or further. There's good reason many of them aren't trusted, and those reasons should be honored. I try to figure out where their domain is. As long as they stay there, and stay out of mine, I'm usually content to leave them to theirs.

I think snakes are interesting creatures, and I like to see pictures and videos of them, but I don't like to encounter them in the wild. I know most snakes are harmless, but the ones that aren't can kill you.
