No, it's because they completely avoid paying for gas. Or at least that's why I would buy one. Considering the price of gas vs the price of electricity a 25k EV (like the Aptera) could completely pay itself off in 6 years (after rebates for buying an EV). Or a 30k electric MINI, which is the same price as a gas MINI, could save 2k per year in energy, more if you charge at home. I can't imagine a Tesla is wildly different..

You're not the brightest.
Tesla, like any electric car charges in around 30 minutes from empty. But unless you're driving 200 odd miles at a time, it should never run out of charge as you "park and charge".
All batteries lose charge in extreme cold. The combustion engine had to be hand cranked to be started in it's early days.
Surely some do but I think majority buy it for its features. Sure there are down sides but that’s win most cars. So long as the pros outweigh the cons for someone then that’s what matters.

You can get a super charger or charge it overnight and there are a lot places where it doesn't get cold enough to affect it.
