Once I was at a temporary station for 2 weeks. They brought trailers in during the night some where bathrooms others were showers and locker rooms. Some had markings others didn't. I had just got off an overnight shift (16hrs). I was freezing as it was cold and icy all night. All I wanted was a warm shower. So a buddy and me went to the shower trailers and found a couple with the hot water running. He was in a different trailer than I was. I got in choose the shower stall farthest from the door and stripped. While the water warmed. I got in and started to relax as the hot water cascaded over me. I hear the door open to the trailer. I thought it was my buddy so I told him I would be out in 5 min. Next thing I remember is a naked woman in my changing room to the stall asking if she could join. My trailer was one of the unmarked I made sure to check as I exited the shower quicker than anticipated.

Yeah, a couple times. Once when I was younger and once when I was in my teens. One time I just happened to walk in without paying attention to the gender marker on the door. I remember I walked in and didn't see any urinals and I was like, "Oh, s***!", and I scurried out as fast as possible. lol

The other time it was just a small, single room bathroom (just a sink, toilet and hand dryer). I did my business and when I opened the door I noticed the sign on it said "Women", and I was like "Whoops!" lol But to be fair, visually, it was no different than the mens washroom, so other than the sign on the door there was no way to know.

A few times, the first one off the top of my head.

I was at a truck stop on a trip, we stopped to take a break and use the restroom. Myself and a friend, we had to go pretty bad and the women's was closed for cleaning.

So we went into the men's, cause it was that or well make a mess. There was only one guy who suddenly seemed surprised but didn't say nothing and ignored us.

One stall was available, the others were in use. My friend went in first while I stood there waiting for one. Guys would come in, whip it out and use the urinals and not seem to notice me at all, or give a damn.

No one said anything to either of us, the whole time. When my friend was done we switched and I guess you could say we were standing guard, not wanting to leave the other alone and wait outside.

I did it by accident twice.

Once at a movie theater and once at a county fair. No one saw me at the county fair because it had just opened and no one was in there.

At the movie theater a guy was standing there when I finished and came out of the stall. At first I thought he was in the wrong one but it turned out to be me. The urinals were past the stalls so I didn't notice them. Yes, I was super embarrassed! ... lol

I had just worked out hard for 2 and a half hours at a new gym, spent some time in the sauna, and I started super early in the morning, like 3AM. So I was exhausted and tired.

I walked into the locker room ready to change for a shower, and I saw a solitary figure approaching as I passed the columns of lockers. As I got closer to the figure, I realized that it was huge, like way bigger than any woman I have ever seen. Built like a 6 and a half foot troll from Lord of the Rings.
In my head, I was like, "That is a HUGE dude!". Then the bell rang in my head, and then the alarms went off... then I slowly turned my head towards him. Guy was in a towel, built like Goliath, and laughing at me.

I looked around for a while, and realized that I did not recognize the room that I was in.

I just shouted, "Oh my God! I'm so sorry!", and ran out of there.

sometimes as there were mixed changing , rest rooms.

Other times the guys were trashed and used girls.

the worst was helping take down a girl that had hanged herself in the showers.

Yes, a few facilities in my city swap gendered bathrooms when cleaning staff of a certain gender need to work. (i. e. for one weekend a month, women use the men's and vice versa as the cleaning staff of ladies clean the men's)

And I've also just straight up wandered into the wrong one a few times.

Nothing bad has ever happened.

When I ended up half-awake in the men's, no one said anything - we all just changed and went about our day. I felt safe, no one stared.

I don't know, I think a lot of people make a bigger deal about gendered bathrooms than they need to.

Everyone poops and everyone needs to change clothes.

No, but I have purposefully walked into the men's restroom several times. I had to pee and someone was cleaning the women's and had the entrance blocked with a cleaning cart. A man walked in and sighed, probably because he saw sandals under the stall. He walked over to the urinals and did his business. No big deal. I was at a 3-day music festival and it was very common for drunk men to wander in and not realize they were in the wrong bathroom until they didn't see urinals and they saw the feminine hygiene dispenser on the wall. All have been extremely apologetic and slightly embarrassed.

Several times. As a kid i snuck in out of curiosity. Other than no urinals and instead menstrual product dispensers on the wall, no difference! I was flabbergasted. Ell oh ell! Then i was a teacher’s aid for a year and was sent here & there for various reasons. That also took me into the girls’ locker room a couple times. Now, my job takes me into bathrooms and locker rooms occasionally, so it’s very ‘whatever’ unless females walk in despite warning signs outside and in. Now you’re jeopardizing my job and livelihood. First time was in middle school after gym class. My "friend" and I were in a debate on whether or not girls still smelled good after a workout but before showering. He dared me to go with him and I did it since he was the only person at the time who even acknowledged my existence without hitting me. We snuck in but almost got caught. Only reason we did not was because we hid in lockers that were empty and got lucky.

Second time was a complete accident as an adult. I was walking and texting and was pissed at the person I was texting. I was texting fast and furiously while having to piss. I did not pay attention to which restroom I was going into. Lucky for me a girl was heading out and saw my face buried in the phone and tapped my shoulder.

Yes, one time the line to the woman's restroom was absurdly long. So I did the only thing I knew to do, I went to the men's restroom and found a stall furthest away from the urinals and other people. Made sure when I walked in nobody was already inside. After that I just waited in the stall until the 1 or 2 guys that came in afterwards left, then I booked it out of there before anyone could notice. 😂

I did janitorial, clean both restrooms, Arby's, movie theater..
