Today I took our smaller car for servicing and insurance renewal.
After I gave the car for servicing, I went to the insurance division. I was supposed to meet another person (our agent), but instead I met a girl, who may have been of my age or 1 year older. 2 years max.
First, I asked to explain me the insurance terms and all the things. All the while, talking in English rather than in our mother tongue. Which is very much uncommon.
After the insurance terms explanation, we began talking about other things, all the while waiting for the main person to show up. We talked about my smartphone recommendations, what do I see while selecting a smartphone and all the related things.
I appreciated her for sitting there, handling the complex looking yet simple excel sheets. Making contacts with the customers and all the other things she is supposed to do.
Turns out, she just lives approximately 1 km from my place.
She is the first person I have conversed in English except with my friends and teachers. Its become a habit of talking in Hindi, so much so that I am uncomfortable of talking in my mother tongue with my friends.
But here she was, conversing with me in English, making it more easier for me to express myself as I feel that I am able to express myself in English better rather than in my mother tongue itself.
I thank the God for giving me one good thing on this boring day. A conversation with that girl. While I was talking with her, I secretly wished for the assigned agent to come as late as possible.
I am in really good mood today, just because of one interaction.
I literally do not care if she was specially trained or something. I liked her for the time I spent with her. Once I left that floor, somehow that effect died off. But that's okay. Got to meet a wonderful person today.
