When I was a bit younger (around 4th-6th grade), I was participating in a couple one-liner roles at a homeschool/church play.

Usually, for some reason the guys and girls in my age area don't really like to mingle with each other, so when I was hanging around a boy (it was all in innocence, he was just really funny and friendly), someone spread a small rumor that he proposed to me.

My mom heard of it first (the parents drove everyone to the church for practice) on the day of the play, and I remember just wandering the auditorium in my outfit slightly shocked.

To this day, I still talk to the guy once in a while (he didn't hear anything about the rumor), and I'm friends with the person that I think may have started it... 😅

Most recently my managers manager at work, saying everything I do is because I like her managers manager. If I wear something different to work, speak to someone, need help. All things that don’t involve any managers. She is using her manager meetings to say this bs, my manager is t doing or saying anything about it.

@swettannie partially. I didn't like them thinking i was just down to have sex back then because a lot of what happened between he and I was out of pressure. But if they were going to accuse me of sucking dick, i was going to deny and correct them because I wasn't into that kind of thing until after college. Besides, i fcked the same one guy throughout HS and it just sucked having rumors about things occuring with him that didn't or them tryna say I had sex or oral with another guy. Nooo i mightve jerked off someone but my lips stayed to myself and my legs stayed closed. I just hate when people intentionally get the story wrong. I hate playing telephone. And everyone knew my “reputation” as the innocence destroyed but my mom is the only person who never knew and i have since kept that a secret from her

Multiple times. High school was an absolute for me. I held a grudge against a group of girls for backstabbing AND bullying me until I was 20 years old. It's damaging.
