If the government shouldn't be involved in peoples lives, why are they getting involved so much, such as banning abortions?

Because they can make money off of it. Also nobody banned abortion, the supreme court just let the states decide.

States are basically saying, what is the point of a federal government. We should be able to make decisions for ourselves

Problem with that is, THERE ARE FIFTY SEPARATE STATES

Last I checked the federal government didn't ban abortion. Some individual states are, but not the federal government.. Perhaps do some research.
