Do you think the usage of anonymous is cowardly if your passionate about a subject & knowledgeable?

It depends on the subject, I think.

You can be very passionate and knowledgeable about certain controversial subjects, and want to share that information, while also not wanting to make yourself a target for those that passionately disagree with you.

I mean, obviously not to the same degree, but there's a reason that whistleblowers are kept anonymous, or star witnesses in big court cases. You won't find anything like that on G@G, but sometimes zealots will chase people into their DMs to continue an argument on religion, or politics. I've seen people follow users they disagreed with, only to harass them when they post on completely unrelated questions.

I do think the anonymous function is used far too frequently, and for stupid reasons, but I still think that it does serve a practical purpose when used appropriately.

I guess it depends on how you use it, but it give you a sense of privacy from people that are bound to harass. I think the anon feature is a little bit stupid however because this app is pretty much as anon as possible as you can get. You don’t have to post pics of yourself
