Why do people get upset when you question their political beliefs anonymously, why do people hate anonymous users?

What's the point of trying to figure out someone's internet identity when everyone who uses their username is still anonymous.

It doesn't matter if you do it anonymously or not. If it's American politics, almost everyone here nowadays are intolerant of opposing view points. I try very hard to stay away from the political discussion on here. It's hard for any disagreement to remain civil.

In my experience the people who criticize someone for positing anonymously are the ones who have nothing valid to criticize so they use the "anon" thing because they've got nothing else.

The irony is that they are all anonymous too, unless of course they include their name, address and phone number in their profile.

Because usually they’re the most hateful replies, and refuse to stand by a screen name or profile. We’re all anon on here really, but it’s extra sad if you’re that scared to voice an opinion.

Accountability. It might just be a username but you can at least know who is saying some repugnant shit and then decide to not want to have anything to do with that person. If they're anonymous you can't block them.
