Why do people hate the fact that you can ask questions anonymously especially with politics section?

Depends of the question. Tip toeing and asking a question you don't have a preconceived expectation one way or another makes sense.

It's when you are dying on a hill and hide yourself with a scarecrow is when you get kicked in the teeth for that. Have some semblance of a backbone and clain your reputation.

Seems like on gag the anon feature can be abused and people use it to post propaganda or gaslight. Asking duplicate questions is against gag rules but if asked anon you can’t go to a users profile to check if they have asked the q before.

Aside from the politics section, asking anon makes it easy to be a troll on gag overall.

As Barry said, it's been abused so many times. People can get away with being nasty, and being Anon while being a bully is nothing but cowardly. You can't block them, because they want to keep tormenting the same people.

That has never made any sense. We are all anonymous to varying degrees. Who cares what name you post under.
