Why is my cat is rubbing all over me aggressively all of the sudden?

I have 2 cats one of them I’m taking care of and my actual cat. I’ve had him for almost 3 weeks until I got my friends cat. Before I would sleep with him in my room every night until i had him a friend. He wouldn’t be as affectionate as the other cat. But sometimes he would purr when I hold him or pet him. But one day I wanted to sleep with him because I miss him by my side. Out of no where he would follow me everywhere. Rub his whole body and head so hard against me roll over on his back and weans. I look it up and I know if means affection. But her never does this why he did it all of the sudden when I bring him upstairs alone.

My cat does that every time. It’s a way to imprint their smell on you, to indicate their ownership on you.
Probably he didn’t need to do so before since he was the only cat at home, but now that you have this other cat, he went in competition with him for “owning” you, so he tries to make the other know you’re his possession.

cat do that often , people said it is to put their scent on u , i once tried to feed random stray cat and he doesn't eat it but he rub against the wall nearby lol
