Can I still drive to get my emissions done without a tag?

I recently lost my license due to speeding tickets so I got it suspend and got a limited permit with probation. My insurance kicked me off for too many so they said I have to return my tag in. I didn’t drive my car for 3 months for the summer. I finally got enough money to pay for my insurance and went to a new place. And I need a tag so I can drive. I went to go to the tag office to get a new tag but they said I have to do emissions first before I go but I don’t have a tag. And they said it’s illegal to drive with no tag. Should I risk it and if I get pulled over explain my situation to the officer and he will let me go? I have my title, insurance, and limited permit and I will have my mom with me.

Not sure what state you're in. But you should be able to get a 30day temp tag that would allow you to legally drive the vehicle in order to get your e-check. Good luck

You maybe able to get a temporary plate.
We can go on line to the dmv and do it all on line and print one off.
