Probably true, haha, but I don’t think she’s the one calling for the American government to get her out, that’s more just public opinion. I don’t have any animosity towards her, not that I would anyway. I love weed, and I hate prisons, so this just offends me in principle.

These are also just stupid political chess matches. We have Russians jailed here too, so they’d love to get a high (-ish) profile American to trade. There were already talks of exchanging Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout for the other guy involved in this, Paul Whelan, who is sentenced to 16 years on an espionage charge. According to his family, Whelan was told of this intent for a prisoner swap for one or more of some Russians jailed in America: Bout, a guy named Roman Seleznev, or another dude, Konstantin Yaroshenko, who has already since been swapped for American Trevor Reed, so Griner isn’t the first person to be in this situation. You hardly heard any of this stuff until it involved a 6’10 black lesbian who dudes don’t want to fuck, then all of a sudden it’s a big problem and heinous that we’d trade her (and only she gets mentioned, no one seems to talk about Whelan) for a “monster” like Viktor Bout, as if Russian arms dealing just shut down entirely upon his arrest, just lmao. Also important to note that a lot of this is just another thing for the right wing to bash Biden about🤦‍♂️😂 So, I mean, whatever, I don’t know much about Brittney Griner, I actually heard about her more when she was still playing in college at Baylor, I don’t follow the WNBA. Fair to say she fucked up, but also fair to say it’s fucked up to catch a nine year bid in a foreign country over some cannabis oil🙄😒

Facts... I don't know why people care so much about the lives of these celebrities. These celebrities aren't losing sleep over us. Hell they don't even know half of us exist. on top of that she broke the law in another country. Why she chose to break the law in Russia makes me feel like just bc she's a celebrity she thinks she's above the law. Just like asap rocky

Probably? 100% true. Before Griner went to prison in Russia there were and currently Americans locked up in foreign countries and nobody gives a damn about them because they happen not to be famous.
