What are your thoughts on a dad shaving his daughters hair for bullying another?

I like it. More parents should do this kind of thing.
Kids are out of control because they never face consequences for their bad behavior. They grow up to be the worst kind of adults who think they’re being victimized when they face real consequences for the first time. Then they sue or “cancel” a person or organization rather than get their own shit together.
I think I would have told her to bring the girl over to our house first. I would have made her see the other girl as a human being one way or another.
I wouldn't want her to lose her confidence in herself and risk her becoming even more of a bitch when her hair grows back. Which ultimately would probably play out even worse than if the dad did nothing.
Thus was perfect and not extreme at all perhaps she will develop some useful empathy skills. That was a disgusting thing the girl did and this is a just reward. She’s lucky her parents didn’t beat her. Im not saying they should’ve I don’t agree with it I’m saying that’s a risk- bullies often get bullied at home.
Honestly good idea. He's showing his daughter how it feels to be in someone else's shoes. Sometimes the only way some people learn is when something bad happens to them cause people can be too self centered to understand what they did was wrong.

She won't learn the lesson just because he shaved her head. She might even bully the cancer girl more for the anger of her dad shaving her har.
A girl with cancer gets bullied no matter if she has hair or not.
But a bald girl without cancer will be seen as a model or something.
But the are also positiv sides too. Maybe she will stop to bully the cancer girl because if the fear of being punished.
Kid got what they deserved simple as that. Good parents will punish bad behavior and reward good behavior. My kid beats up another kid just to bully him? My kid is gonna be grounded from everything for a month and no allownce for 2 if they beat up a kid because he attacked one of their friends and they did it to protect them? That kid gets an ice cream cone and play video games durrimg suspention.
Hell yes, shave her head to give her level of understanding.
Unfortunately that’s how people in this world works. There’s no understanding unless they experience it themselves to learn a lesson. How are we supposed to teach how racism works to white people in a white community? Lessons like that just simply aren’t learned and most don’t want to learn because they’ve never experience it.
Interesting, just one person disagrees so far.
I'm with the "I don't know how I feel about it" other lone ambivalent commenter.
I know I'd be completely ashamed to have raised a daughter like this. That would not happen.
Good! I was bullied, but never bullied back... You know there is a saying..."what goes around, comes around"... So if she would have been my Daughter i would have done the same, plus i would take her and go to the other girl's house and ASK MY DAUGHTER TO SINCERE APOLOGISE!
It's a bit extreme but it should teach the girl a lesson that what she did is totally unacceptable, and now she gets the experience the same kind of things that the girl she bullied experiences.
Good 🤷🏽♀️ if all children knew that they would not get away with bullying, schools would stop having bullies.
Hair regrows, so it's not the end of the world. Also hair is a fundamental part of a girls figure for lack of a better word, so I guess he really wanted her to learn a lesson.
Was it extreme, yes!
But will her life be ruined? not really
A lesson she won't forget.
It's rather extreme, but it definitely and unambiguously gets the point across.
So, for that reason, I can accept that and approve.
A little late for him to play catch-up for shit parenting, but the daughter still has a slim chance to develop some empathy before it's too late
It's not their fault that they have cancer so you shouldn't go in bully them I think he did the right thing
okay
so i think shaving your kids hair as a punishment is a horrible thing to do
but
here i can't like
i feel like that was a prettyy good punishment, putting her in the girl's shoes like that
also shows solidarity so thats great
If this is true he’s an excellent father. Bullies need to be given harsh reprimands YET at the same time forgiven if they come to grips about their behavior.
I used to be a bully. Pushing kids to the ground, calling them names, pulling girls' hair, etc...
My dad stopped it by being nicer to me, believe it or not
I still pull girls' hair though
Probably one of the few legit reasons to shave a girl's head. Normally it should be off limits.
Sounds pretty extreme but she should have had the heart to leave the poor girl alone. Maybe she'll understand once she goes through it too.
Kids these days get away with too much. She needed to be taught a lesson. All these spoiled brats being brought up nowadays.
well I know where she was taught how to bully... If the father's intent was to teach his daughter that she has no autonomy over her body, he did a good job.
That’s a good point that you make. How do people become bullies? I don’t think it happens by accident, it’s more likely learned behavior. My parents were school teachers and often they would find out that the bullies in their classes had something bad going on at home. It didn't excuse their behavior but it did help to explain it.
Even though I can understand this it is not right to do that to your kid. i would have made her apologize and then do chores for the girl's family.
I agree even though I never bullied anyone when I was a kid (or even now as adults lol) that’s the kind of thing my parents would have done as punishment.
@whirled_up_girl I tried to teach my kids non violence. I think it worked because i never heard of any of my kids getting into a fight.
He did it right. He gave her consequences for her actions. She will remember this lesson and never do the same shit again.
You have to be a pretty low piece of shit to do what that girl did so I've no sympathy for her.
good...
hopefully she learns many good things about her actions, and consequences...
She got off light in my book.
You know bullying can catch you a case. And cause lawsuits.
Me embarrassing and disciplining my child save them in the future
I agree with this. The cancer victim can't help not having hair. Nobody should bully her for it. I hope she learned her lesson.
I like it. I mean its traumatic for a young girl. But what she did was pretty bad.
Maybe I'd go more consolatory and have her tour a cancer ward or something. I don't know. But teaching empathy is hard but important.
Honestly, I think he's showing his daughter what it's like to be that girl with cancer. While some argue it's public humiliation, and it is, it's also teaching humility as well as having empathy for others.
Ha - get recked. Bet she won't bully anyone with cancer again.
Good! Love it! :) Hopefully now she won't be such a bitch.
Is there more background than just that?
Would say there are already issues in that family.
Could think of far worse things that could have been done. Bullies are @$$holes.
It’s not even the worst thing he could’ve done to punish her. The hair is gonna grow back and she’ll just look like Britney Spears for a few months.
I mean, I shave my hair every other week basically, so it's not a big gesture. The bullying is very sad though.
It's sublime. She'll grow back her hair eventually, but for the time being she will be in the shoes of her victim. It's a good lesson.
I would never raise a Bully and if my kid was to bully I would give her something to laugh about with everyone else. So a blad head sounds very good. She will learn to be humble.
Even when your kid is LGBTQ+? Or supports the Black Lives Matter movement? Or disagrees with you politically?
@snowboarder720 He said he Wasn't going to raise a bully not raise a retard.
@snowboarder720 I would not raise a LGBT CHILD or a SJW, i am not a failed father. I was once a alil activist too once I learned alittle about my peoples history on both sides and I even voted for Obama But I escaped poverty and realized that everything that's wrong with society today. Is the fact we can either play victim or take a leap of faith and makes changes. LGBT & BLM is not the Answer! I am also a independent but I lean right. Also it doesn't matter what someone is, they will not bully anyone. That's Not how I was raised or they will be.
@RiseofArtemis LOL!!!
She had to learn her lesson somehow. She prob bullied the poor kid and posted a tik tok. But i think the shaving head was prob too far… but still
Based and Giga-Chad-Dad pilled.
I mean my God FINALLY some consequences.
This is sad for one to make fun of one with cancer
The only thing you need to do to discipline kids today is say these two little words
NO WI-FI
I think it's appropriate and proportionate. Hopefully that awful brat will learn something.
I approve of this. bullies deserve to be punished
Interesting way of parenting to show her what it’s like
Good for him! She needs to feel a piece of the humiliation she caused the other girl. Hopefully, the daughter will learn a valuable lesson.
Yeah it's a crappy thing she did. She won't do it again.
I bet she learned her lesson good for the dad
Good for him.
It might be a lesson she may never forget.
Sounds like a good dad to me.
Good parenting
Awesome, maybe she'll learn her lesson
He taught her a lesson. He's got my respect
I'd buy that man a drink.
That a Boy 💇♀️…..
She obviously deserves it.
Bad parenting.
Honestly I think it's a good idea.
ngl I would do that too lmao
That’s awesome! Good job dad!
I would say the punishment fits.
Better than giving her cancer
This gave me a spiritual boner.
Good job of it actually happened
Seems fair enough!
