Ok I admit this was hypocrisy, how common is this?

I don't do this anymore but used to in the past. I was a hypocrite when it came to apologizing and forgiving.

If it was me trying to call it a truce or apologizing, it felt good we were on good terms afterwards. I bothered me when someone didn't accept it at the moment and had to take a couple days.

However, when it was granting forgiveness, many times I would take my time. At times (depending on the offense) just an ''come one, can we be cool now'' wasn't good enough for me. I didn't forgive right away. I was terrible at forgiving faster but expected to be forgiven if it was me asking a truce.

One time, the very same person that I've asked for a truce and it was given right away... well the tables turned a year later or so. Now that person was in the wrong, was calling a truce and I said ''get lost, I'm going to think about it''. The person then got me with the ''No fair, you were forgiven when you asked for me, talk about hypocrisy'' rebuttal.
