for months, Trump has been saying the Democrats, Biden - the Harris will "destroy our country," and "if they win, we won't have a country." He calls Harris "commrade Hariss" and calls her a Marxist.

Now he's saying it's Biden/Harris rhetoric that are causing people to want to kill him. What rhetoric? Saying he's a threat to democray?

Also there is ZERO evidence that either shooter was motivated by anti-Trump rhetoric.

Yes, Trump's rhetoric is much more vile and nastier than Biden and Harris's

Saying he's a threat to Democracy is just plain true. He tried to delay the election, fake elector plots, floated martial law multiple times, Jan 6 etc. He's proven that statement true and nothing about stating the obvious is a push to violence. They're just desperate to blame someone other than Trump and see if anyone else is dumb enough to believe he isn't the one calling for violence all the time.

The main problem is that the "rhetoric" coming out of the Harris campaign is actually just repeating Trump's own words for someone besides his intended audience to hear. If he wants to disavow his (or his sycophants) own words he should do that first in a way that convinces his supporters he means it before calling it rhetoric.
