If people stare then there must be a marked difference... there is something very striking about you. It may be in Appearance or Essence... it can be seen or felt OR possibly both !!! You have an example or context?

People only stare to send a message they are looking at something. If you're just a bit odd looking they'll bend over backwards not make it obvious they're looking.
The question therefore is what are you doing that's getting their disapproval.
