Why do people stare at me so much in public?

I get stared at every-time I’m in public. Men and woman will just randomly stare at me. I could be in a queue and I’ll catch someone looking at me. Or walking past, and they just stare at me with no facial expression. I was brought up that it’s rude to stare at people. Last weekend, a guy just kept staring at me as I drove past and the woman who was with him joined in.

I’m visiting family this weekend, and was walking in town with my mum. A random older lady came out of a shop walking past saw me and stared directly into my eyes with her head turned facing me, I smiled but she kept just staring at me until I was passed her. Why do people do this? They make it extremely obvious too which makes me feel uncomfortable

It's hard to say why they're doing it without seeing a picture of you. You could be weird looking or you could be super gorgeous.

think about it like this. if you're standing in line, why wouldn't people look at other people as a way to pass the time? you're not special, sorry to come off as harsh. this is just naturally what humans do... they probably don't even realize it. plus, you'll never see them again so who cares.
