I own my cat, but he's his own being.

Cats have the mental intelligence of a human toddler, but fortunately none of the human characteristics.

It took adjustment to live with him. He's like a little furry roommate, kinda. He has wants and needs, and depends on me for them, but he also has a personality and his own goals.

I might have bought him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have will or desires of his own. It's my responsibility as his owner to learn what they are and do my best to make him happy.

It's why I got him. To make him happy.
